Well here in Australia it's been Halloween and no one knocked on my door for a Halloween "treat" and I had even bought a packet of Halloween lollies just in case!!!!! Oh well - it's really not the "thing" here!!
Anyway I sat down tonight and made a Halloween Tag and ATC using a great image from Gecko Galz.
This tag has been made for a challenge at a relatively new challenge blog - Friendships Garden - where you can use collage images but not stamped images as the main "focus" although stamped sentiments are okay and as you can see I've used a small digital sentiment from CS Designs along with the Gecko Galz witchy woman. There was a "recipe" required for this tag challenge of 1 image, 2 rick rack & 3 bling!
My ATC was made for the Oh La La Group at the Bella Creations Community using the Woman image which is kindly provided each month by Gecko Galz - we always look forward to seeing what the new image will be!! I've used the same style as the tag and the same embossed star background and addition of muslin behind the image.

Male themed cards are always the toughest to make!! But I actually enjoyed making this one for a friend who likes fishing! The digi image is from Dude Time Doodles and was a perfect image for the watercolour background I made!
The little fish comes from a freebie collage sheet from Rian - check out her freebie blog here.

And the Raven, never flitting....
October 28th 2011
This new tag has been made for the Gingersnap Creations Random Redhead Challenge - Ravens! I've used images from a great "Poe" collage sheet from The Octopode Factory.
The background is watercolour paper & pencils - I love the effect! And printed onto the watercolour paper is the last verse of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" Poem. I've mounted that onto black card and stapled some ribbon to the top of the tag. I added a bit of tea stained muslin behind the Raven image.

Thinking of You
October 27th 2011
I've made this card for the challenge at Our Creative Corner which has a theme of "Fabulous Faces" and I thought this Arty Expression design from Chris at CS Designs was just a perfect face for the challenge! And the sentiment is also from CS Designs.
I made the background with watercolour paper and pencils and printed the images directly onto the paper. I added some photo corners and little plastic flowers to which I added a little gold bead centre and of course some skeleton leaves in matching colours.

Are you good or bad???

Our theme for this week's ATC's at the Wicked Wednesday Challenge Blog is - "A Set of 3". And as you can see by the gorgeous image I have used Michelle Perkett Studio is the sponsor this week so please get your entry in for your chance to win this great "Celeste" image.
My set of 3 ATC's incorporates the Celeste image which I "flipped" for one ATC so they look like they are facing each other across the "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" ATC in the middle. Images are coloured with Copic Markers and mounted on card I embossed and rubbed a white ink pad over. I've cut the circles with round Spellbinder dies and added some pretty braid to each.
So are you good or bad??? And we can't wait to see your ATC's this week!

Today I'm sharing some more Halloween inspiration for our challenge at Art With No Boundaries!
Both of these cards use the new "Priscilla Witch" Halloween design from Chris at CS Designs.
This first card also uses one of the new backgrounds available at CS Designs - Mixed Text Halloween Background - I love it!! I've also made a tiled look on the background with my Scor-Pal and Purple Smooch Ink to draw lines in the score lines - plus I inked the background with stamp pads. I'm also entering this card in the new challenge at the Cupcake Inspirations Blog as I've used the colours on their inspiration picture!
The second card also has a tiled effect background and inking as well as skeleton leaves and Spellbinder die cuts. The little sentiment is also part of the new Halloween collection of designs.

My new creation for today's Black & White Challenge at Take a Word!
I've used a new Halloween image from the Haunting Apparitions range of designs at CS Designs - I love this "advert"!!
As you can see I've printed the design in decreasing sizes and arranged them on the postcard plus I've cut out the heading and added that to the side. The background is torn strips of black & white paper. I'm really happy with the effect.

Calling All Angels
October 23rd 2011
The background of the coaster is a few different colours of paint scraped around with a credit card and I've added some pink, blue & purple feathers along with a little quote, some muslin cloth and a few "gems"!
If we were all like angels,
the world would be a heavenly place.
The theme for the new SoArtful Challenge this time is "Calling All Angels" and I couldn't resist making this little altered coaster with a cute little Angel image from one of The Octopode Factory's Collage Sheets.Pretty in Pink!

Happy Pink Saturday to everyone!
Because it's October and the month for Halloween I've made a "pink" Halloween tag using a new design from Chris at CS Designs "Priscilla Witch" and a great spider background!
Priscilla has been coloured with Copics and mounted on card and then cut out and put onto the pink spider background. I have also cut out 3 little white hanging spiders and added them to the pink background as well as adding some matching fibres to the top!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

This is the House that Jack built...
October 21st 2011
The new challenge at The Octopode Factory Challenge Blog is "Houses" so I've made this little collage card using images from one of Lily's Christmas Collage Sheets. I thought the little gingerbread house would be a fun image to incorporate into this week's theme.
I made the background with ink pads and stamped images and I added the wording which I edged with the ink pads and also to finish off added a little spanner charm.

Soartful Challenge
October 20th 2011
The Soartful Challenge Blog had a choice of 2 inspirational images for the new challenge and I chose the "Harvest Garden" image as I loved the Autumn colour tonings and had the perfect image from Dezinaworld to use to make a fabric tag for this challenge.
As you can see I've used this gorgeous woman surrounded by the rich oranges & reds of Autumn and I've added a little quote from Elizabeth Lawrence:

New Challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC Blog!
October 19th 2011
We loved all your entries last week for our very first challenge and hope you can join us again this week for our "Halloween" Challenge. Remember Wicked Wednesday is an ATC Challenge Blog!!
This week we are sponsored by Dilly Beans and we have a cute little Heart Monster image to work with - remember our winner for the week will also win this image!
I've used colours that are probably a little bit "different" for Halloween but I'm happy with the look of my ATC. The coloured background I made myself with watercolours, rubber stamps and paint. I've made the monster images slighter large than the ATC so it overhangs the sides and I've added some little letters to spell "Boo Who?"
Make sure you visit the other DT Members to see their inspiration for this week! We look forward to seeing your little pieces of art this week!

October 17th 2011
A great new theme at the Take a Word Blog this week - "Childhood".
I've "altered" a cardboard coaster with paint and a credit card plus a swirly rubber stamp and added cute little images from a Lisa's Altered Art Collage Sheet plus a little quote I found at the Quote Garden and a little "feet" charm!

For the Mummy who has Everything!
October 15th 2011
I've made a "set" of creations for today's post using an amazing new design from Chris at CS Designs.
As you can see it's an "advertisement" for "Pyramid Dust & Aged Wrappings" - isn't it fantastic! Chris has an amazing new range of designs espceially for Hallloween and as you can see I've "coloured" mine in an "alternate" colour theme for Halloween - because I LOVE pink!!
I've printed the advertisement in full on some patterned paper and coloured parts of it in "pink" and "gold". And I've made a little pink painted papier mache box which has aged wrappings around it and holds "pyramid dust" which I have sprinkled around everything as well and I cut the "mummy" circle from the advert, coloured it with Copics and attached it to the lid of the round box!! The aged wrappings are made from jagged strips of tea stained muslin. I also tea stained the tassel too to make everything look "aged"!! And I've added some gold Smooch to the images to add some "richness".
I think this would make a great "Trick or Treat" gift for a "MUM" for taking the kids out at Halloween LOL!!!
And I am entering this paper mache creation at the new challenge at Card and Scrap which has a new challenge theme of "not four-sided"!! And I'm also entering this at the new challenge at Desert Islands Crafters Blog - I've used 3 things from their itinerary - Haloween, Favourite Colour (PINK) & Not Square!! Tuesday Throwdown also has a "Think Pink" colour challenge so my "mummy" has been entered over there as well!!

Black & Orange

A great colour theme for the new Octopode Factory Challenge this week!
I had fun with Lily's Angel Girl who's "halo" slipped off her head and now she's wearing a "witch's" hat LOL!! The angel has been coloured with copics in orange and grey tonings.
The background image is from Dezinaworld - I love the skulls on it and I added a little skull charm to match the theme.
