I bought a little mini art journal recently (pages are 2 1/2 inches x 4 inches) just to play around with and make some "small" little creations and play around with ink & paint backgrounds. I've made these pages with images from a collage sheet I got from Luna Girl (I was very lucky to be the winner fo their first ever challenge!!) I just love these "risque" divas - and they are perfect for the current challenge at the Luna Girl Blog - theme of "DIVAS"!!
I used Distress Inks & Paint for the background, added the cut out images, some stamped lettering and a bit of glitter glue to add some bling!
This is also my creation to remind you about the current "My Kind of Gal" Challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad - LOL these lovely Diva's are someones type of gal!!! We would love to see your interpretation of this theme for our challenge!

Bombshell Blog Hop...
May 29th 2013
Time for the latest Bombshell Stamps Blog Hop with a theme of "Banners" - I'm happy to be joining in with their hop this month! I've used Bombshell "Angel" - from the new set I just received in the mail - lucky me!!
I've used torn strips of paper to cover the three banners and then edged each piece with lace & braid - added a few embellishments and of course "Angel" and I have my Bombshell Banner!
Make sure you hop over to Kelli's Blog to check out her banner for the hop and if you get lost or have come along part way through visit Bombshell Stamps Blog for the complete list of hoppers!

A reminder post for our "Song & Dance" ATC Challenge this week at Wicked Wednesday. I've made two more ATC's for this post - the first one features a great dancing trio image from Michelle Perkett and the second a cute little ballerina from A Day for Daisies. The background papers on bother are digital patterned papers from Fringe Art Etsy Store.
Of course I loved these ATC's so much and the digital papers that I made them both into cards:

These 2 male themed cards use May New Release Digital Patterned Papers and Male Themed Collage Images from Gecko Galz! Each card uses the May Sketch from the CLP Challenge Blog. Sometimes it can be really hard to make masculine cards but not with these new products from Gecko Galz - I had a great time!!

National Scrapbook Day
May 23rd 2013
Over at the Gecko Galz Site this month we are celebrating "National Scrapbooking Day" by showing off our creations! I'm not into scrapbooking but made a couple of pages in a style that I felt was more "me" to celebrate the day - you can see list of supplies and details for my pages at the Gecko Galz Site along with the amazing creations on display so far from the rest of the talented DT!

Finally got time to make my tag for May for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2013 and as usual I've added my own twist with what I have on hand. The rub ons I used were from the cheap shop, I've used a gorgeous Bombshell Stamp Set "Rose's Portrait" - my favourite at the moment and other little bits & pieces from my stash. I'm actually really happy with how this has come out and LOL I'm still managing to get my tag done each month so that's an achievement!

May 21st 2013
Time for a little reminder for our Movie Magic Monthly Challenge Blog - our theme for this month is "Star Wars vs Star Trek" - what a great theme with lots of possibilities for creating!!! As you can see I've made a Journal Page using a well know "Spock" quote from Star Trek along with some little one eyed monsters from Dilly Beans!! This page was so much fun to create!
I'm also entering my page in the current "Anything Goes" Challenge at the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog - LOL it's certainly "anything goes" on this planet!!!

Felicity & Rhadel
May 20th 2013
Check out these 2 new designs from Angie at Angie Delarie Scrapbooking - the first is Felicity from the 50's and the second is Rhadel from the 20's - these were so amazing to create with - I love the "era's" these two gals are from! Make sure you check out the shop to grab these new designs! I can't wait to create some more things with these gals!
For my card using Felicity I used some great digital papers from Gecko Galz which were released this month - they are called "Dapper Dan" and although I have also made male themed cards with these papers I thought they were just perfect for this 50's style image! To lay out the card I used the current sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesdsay! I added some blue coloured highlights to the image to bring out the bit of pale blue in the background paper.
My second card with Rhadel I kept fairly simple with the embossed background and matching embossed border along with some black tulle which I gathered and the little yellow diamantis to add some bling! I love this image - very swish - looks like she is ready to "flap"!! I am entering Rhadel in the current Left of Centre Challenge - which has a Red/Black Theme - perfect!

Firstly Happy Mothers Day to all the "mums" out there! For Mothers Day I am sharing my "altered wood block" using new collage images and patterned paper from Gecko Galz. My wood black was covered with Gesso then sponged all over with Distress Inks. I cut all the images/paper to size then distressed the edges and sponged the edges with distress ink and then used Gel medium to attach to the wood block, To finish I added some flower embellishments and a little charm and the quirky bird to the top LOL! The little "feet" on the block are wooden beads also painted with Gesso & Distress Ink.
I am entering my creation at the new LunaGirl Challenge Blog in their Bird Themed Challenge.

Remember we have a great challenge for this week at Wicked Wednesday "Tarot Symbols". Quite a few years ago I was in an Art Card Yahoo Group and we had several Tarot Card swaps where each person made a particular card of the deck then we scanned, printed and mailed out to all the participants. I have 2 decks of Tarot cards made this way!!! The above "Temperance" card I made - it's one of my favourties - I spent a lot of time researching the meanings of each card and creating cards that showed the symbols which reflected the card I was creating! I'm not sure who's rubber stamp I used on this Tarot card but I love it!

April Showers Bring May Flowers...
May 6th 2013
In Australia it is not Spring but Autumn so flowers here are coming to the end of their time for this season!! The current challenge theme at The Cheerful Stamp Pad is "April Showers bring May Flowers" so we are loving all the great entries - you still have a week left to enter so link up!!
For this reminder post I have used some great new images from Gecko Galz to make my calendar pages for The Kathryn Wheel challenge! It did take awhile to cut oout all the flowers for each day of the week but I really like the effect! I tried to make a lattice background effect with some masking tape. I can't believe it's only the start of May and I have my pages done already - must be a miracle LOL!!

May 1st 2013
Wow can you believe it's already May???? Time for a new challenge at Wicked Wednesday - "Sun & Surf" - with this weeks sponsor being 2 Cute Ink - as always our generous sponsor is giving you the chance to win some images! It's Autumn here and the weather is getting cooler so I look forward to seeing some "sunny" creations for this challenge!
Now I thought this ATC was so cute that I wanted to make it into a card - great for a little boy! I used the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to layout the card - it's fairly simple but I think the ATC has a bit of detail and is the main focus anyway. I am also entering this card in the current Cards for Men Challenge (cards must be for a man or boy) - their challenge is "Animals" and as this cute little lion is the centre of attention it's just perfect!
