Under the Sea...

October 31st 2013
A mini journal page made using a gorgeous image available at the Queen Kat Designs Store by Nora Blansett - isn't she beautiful?

I had a bit of trouble with this page - I wanted to emboss over the paint I had put on and the embossing ink tube spurted out the top and all over my journal - what a sticky mess LOL!!!! I cleaned up what I could and added the embossing powder and some sparkly bits and attempted to emboss it with too much embossing fluid!!! Anyway it still turned out to be quite effective looking so it's not all bad - just the other pages are a bit "wet" in one corner from the spillage!! Needless to say I threw the bottle out - it was way too many years old anyway!

Hope with Rosie...

Today I am sharing one of my DT creations for Gecko Galz using new products for this month.

I just love this sweet little angel from the new release "Christmas Kids" Collage Sheet Set. Patterned strips of paper are also digital papers from Gecko Galz. I'm not sure if I will use this as a Christmas Card or a new baby card - I think it would suit either!

I love the bright Dylusions sprays I used for the background of my mini journal pages for this creation. I couldn't resist adding a little punched spider and it's hard to see in the picture but I added some spider web "stuff" to the pages.

We would love to see what you can create - remember to use a Just Some Lines image for your entry!

I've used "Cordilla" on my ATC - I coloured her with green & orange Copic Markers and added some bright orange "flock" to her shoes and ribbons. Background patterned papers are from Gecko Galz and the gorgeous "Autumn Medley" glitter is from Sparkle N Sprinkle. (Flock is also from Sparkle N Sprinkle).

For my card I've used one of the images from the "Horsing Around" digital Stamp Set - coloured with Copic Markers, fussy cut and added to the card with mounting tape. Digital patterned papers are from Dana Garson Designs Etsy Store.

A great card for a horse lovin' gal!

Button Up!

October 7th 2013

A reminder that you still have a few days left to enter our "Voodoo Dolls / Stitching" ATC challenge at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog!

My image for today's ATC is a new release for October from Just Some Lines - I layered 3 of the same image to look like a group of Voodoo Dolls just waiting for someone to love them???? LOL!

Halloween Celebration.....

October 5th 2013
Well it's time for a new challenge for the month of October at the Just Some Lines Blog and of course our theme is "Halloween" and some amazing new designs have been released in the shop just in time for this occasion!

Don't you just love this "gruesome" couple LOL??

Patterned papers are from a great digital paper pack from Gecko Galz also released especially for Halloween! I distressed all the edges and coloured the image to look a bit grungy and match the papers. For contrast I added the white lace look sticker strips and a die cut "Celebrate". And finally I couldn't resist a bit of "bling" on the right hand side with 3 sparkly gems!!

I really love the effect of this - a bit of a "mish mash of grunge, lace and ghoulishness LOL!!! What fun this was to make!! What a great Engagement or Wedding Card - certainly would be unique!!!

National Card Making Day at Gecko Galz

October 4th 2013
This is my card for the Gecko Galz feature for National Card Making Day - at the Gecko Galz Site there have been cards showcased by the DT for this card making day - make sure you check them out! And visit Gecko Galz to check out their great new release products for October!

Patterned papers on my card are digital papers from the Gecko Galz collection "Grandma's House" and the gorgeous image is from new release collage sheets "Christmas Kids".

As you can see all the paper "elements" have been stitched on my sewing machine. I added some die cut flowers using the digital papers and co-ordinating plain card and added pearls to the flower centres to finish them off. Some rosette braid and a ribbon bow with pearl drop finishes my card off nicely! A great vintage style xmas card!

Make a Wish & Keep Hoping...

October 3rd 2013
Today I am sharing my mini journal pages using new images from Maigan Lynn available at the Queen Kat Designs Store - I cropped the images for my pages - you can see more new release designs and inspiration at the QKD Blog!

This first image is "Winged Shoes" and the image below is "Black Widow" - LOL I coloured them in pastels so they don't really look like Halloween designs - they have a much "softer" look!

The background of the pages was done using some pearl paints I had in little pots and I just used my finger to smear the paint. I added some scrabble like letter tiles to each page and mounted the images on some gorgeous Japanese fibre paper. I just love the colour scheme I chose for these pages and of course Maigan's images are some of my favourites!
