Altered Playing Cards Week 17

 These are my Week 17 cards from Claudine's inspirations posts for her Altered Playing Card Challenge! She has actually finished posting inspirations for the APC's but I am still truying to catch up LOL!!!!!



 

I just love these 2 cards - I love the colours of pink & red together and the birds are some of my favourite images from Vera Lane Studio - so much fun to make!!!!

Today is "Brentwood Owl's" 6th birthday - details over at the JessicaLynnOriginal Blog!!!! And you will see there is a special FREE Brentwood digi available this weekend only to celebrate so pop over to The Store and grab him!

I've used another Brentwood image for my Birthday card today and "dressed" him up a bit for a relaxing birthday celebration LOL!!! I've used some cut out items and patterned paper from a great Kaisercraft  "Paradiso" Paper Pad/Cut Outs Set - love the tropical feel!

I'll be sharing some more "birthday" themed creations through the month to help celebrate this occasion at JessicaLynnOriginal!!!!!

Journal 52 Week 3 : Conversation Starters

My page for the Journal 52 Week 3 - Conversation Starters - using an image from Sandra Caldwell. I'm a Turf Manager/Horticulturist so my whole conversation and interest revolves around turf/grass & plants and whether they are growing LOL!!!! This little image I got from Squigglefly when Sandra's images were there - you can now purchase some of Sandra's images at Sweet Pea Stamps so make sure you check them out - she has such a unique style which I LOVE!!!!

A pretty simple background for my page but I just wanted it to be green like grass with the image as the main focus and of course the wording LOL!!!!

Hot Chocolate Fairy

Sharing a Journal Page using a great rubber stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps that I won in a Sweet Pea Stamps Group Facebook competition! This is "Hot Chocolate Fairy" by Janna Prosvirina available at the Sweet Pea Store!

I've used pastel colours, lace, ribbon & pearls so I can also enter this in the current challenge at the One Sweet Challenge Blog!!!

Candles of Hope.....

A mini journal page using the candle image from the Mason Jar Set of Stamps available from the JessicaLynnOriginal Store! I did some "masking" LOL - haven't done that in awhile with a stamp - at least this was an easy one to do!!

 

Journal page background is old book pages, gesso and acrylic paints and I wrote the word "Hope" with a thin paint liner. Just something quick and easy but still meaningful!

Fabulous new releases at SLS Lines this month - head over to the SLS Lines Blog to see what the DT have created and then head to The Etsy Store to purchase them!!! I'm still "guesting" at the SLS Lines Blog so you will keep seeing some of my creations with their amazing and funky images!!!

I had so much fun creating this journal page - I used images from Gecko Galz to create the patchwork style background. I used a charcoal pencil to drawn around each image - I did spray the whole page with sealant after I did that so the charcoal didn't smudge. Gorgeous Chubby Fairy image was coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut. To finish off I added muslin and letter stickers!

I've created this tag for 2 things - one being the progressive challenge at the Sweet Pea Stamps FB Group and the other for the latest challenge at the Tag Along Blog with a theme of Angels!! I just got this new rubber stamp in the mail from Sweet Pea Stamps along with a few others to stamp out & play with! It's one of Regan Kubecek's artworks - just love Regan's images!!

I had so much fun making all of this tag - played with a new Wow glitter embossing powder - it sparkles so much more in real life than what this photo shows - it's really gorgeous - good excuse to get some more colours!!! I also embossed the edges of the tag with gold embossing powder and added a bit of glitter to the angel wings and her dress and halo. Finished off with feathers and a bit of lace.

I'm also entering this at the Sparkle & Sprinkle Challenge Blog which always has an Anything Goes theme but you must use glitter or embossing powders - I've certainly used embossing powder today and "glitter" embossing powder to make certain my entry fits the requirements LOL!!

Sharing my Altered Playing Cards from the Week 15 "prompt" at Claudine's Blog - am a bit behind with creating these altered cards but it is so much fun I am just happily going along at my own pace!

Well the theme of our Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge this week is "Spring is in the Air" - LOL it's actually Autumn here in Australia so we have a while to go till we feel "springy"!! A tag made for the progressive challenge at the Sweet Pea Stamps FB Group - this was the freebie image for the second part of the challenge - a gorgeous image available at the store. LOL I'm probably sharing my creations out of order but I seem to have so many things to share and I keep forgetting to put them on my blog so I randomly choose a "draft" post and finish it off and publish it so this is what I am sharing for today!!!

 

Tag background was done with acrylic paints - love the strong "hot" colours I used. I printed the digi image onto tissue paper and adhered to the tag with gel medium. Finished it off with some matching coloured fibres at the top. Loved how this turned out!



Vintage Mason Jar Tag...

JessicaLynnOriginal has a great new "Mason Jar" Set of Stamps available now in the Store!! I've made a tag using 4 of the stamps from the set - the jar, the "bouquet", the wording & the little firefly stamp!

Couldn't resist giving this tag a vintage feel with distress inks and aged look. There are so many possibilities with this set so pop over & grab one!! I have more creations to share in the next few days using stamps from this set.

Lost Coast Designs Blog Hop!

I'm joining the Lost Coast Designs Blog Hop which runs until the end of March and as you can tell it's a "50 Shades of Green" theme!!!! If you scroll to the bottom of my post you will see lots of wonderful Green Lost Coast Designs creations linked up to visit - I can't wait to get started "visiting" everyone!

I've made a double journal page spread "inspired" by one of Donna Downey's past Inspiration Wednesday Youtube Videos - I love how it turned out and I loved using one of the new rubber stamps I recently purchased from the LCD Store!!!

 

Loved getting my sewing machine out and sewing all of this "mess" of ribbon, lace and fringe onto my journal page! Had fun with getting painty fingers for the muslin/cheesecloth background. Overall a fun time had making these pages especially for the hop!!!!

Use Some Red.....

My mini journal page for the current Lost Coast Designs "Use Some Red" Challenge! I recently got a few new stamps from their store and this is one of them - so cool!

I used a red spray from Dylusions for the background along with some Gesso, added a diamond pattern Tim Holtz stamp, some red & black acrylic paint, little letter tiles and of course the LCD rubber stamped image! Fun to make!

A "Mason Jar" Wish.......

A great new stamp set release at JessicaLynnOriginal - "Mason Jar DIY Crafting" - check it out - it has so many great stamps to mix and match!

 

For this mini journal page I have actually combined one of JessicaLynnOriginal's Digi Stamps - Dragonfly Trio with the Mason Jar, Terrarium & Make a Wish Wording from the set!!!!

 

I love this page - background is stamp pads dragged across the page and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Images  stamped on a cream texture paper. I added just a touch of colour to the image.

A Good Book Has No Ending.......

A fun journal page for my "inspiration post" at the SLS Lines Blog using a great digital stamp from the SLS Lines Etsy Store "Book Lover".

I am a lover of books but these days I spend more time creating & crafting LOL!!!!

 

Background of my page is bits of old book pages and tissue paper along with gesso, ink sprays and paint along with a lettering stamp! Image was printed on card, coloured with Copics & fussy cut. I mounted the image on a preprinted ATC sized card I had and stuck that all to my page along with the printed book quote.

Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday Week 1

I have so many posts to share and I keep forgetting to add them to my blog!!!!! This is my Week 1 "Inspiration Wednesday" journal page - am just loving these wonderful inspiration lessons from Donna Downey - soooo glad I nabbed these "classes"! I'm sharing my pages out of order but I'm just working my way through the "draft" posts in my list!

 

I made the stencils of my "name", the glasses and 2015 numbers with my Silhouette and added the texture paste - just love the effect of this! A great way to learn new techniques and get out of the "comfort" zone LOL!!!!!
