Cats on the Block!

You really have to check out these great new digi designs by Janet at Vera Lane Studio "Cats on the Block" - great little images to make into planner paperclip markers or use on cards - anything!!!

I printed 2 of the designs on thick watercolour card and coloured with watercolour pencils and then fussy cut. I added the large paperclips with glue and added some mounting tape and joined the 2 sides together - they are so much fun to create and then add to your planners!!

 

There is also a "Girls on the Block" set in store too so check them out! Always so many fab and quirky designs to play with at Vera Lane!

Sharing a cute little ATC made for a swap at the Rick St Dennis Fans Facebook Group!

I printed this cute little "Sugar Plum Fairy Mouse" digi direct to the card and coloured her with copic markers - she's so cute!!! I added the wording sticker at the top, added an ATC background and posted off to my swap partner!!

Just Dance....

A gorgeous new stamp release at Vera Lane Studio "Just Dance" - more cute & quirky digis to create with!

I've created a large journal page with the cute little dancing gal in her tutu! I coloured her with pastel pencils and fussy cut. Page background was a "mop up" page from my brayer when I was doing some gelli printing. Old book page was also gelli printed - I love the pattern of this stencil.

I gathered a strip of black tulle I had with some of my fabrics and added to the page with some sparkly gems. Finished off with the "tutu cute" cardboard letters!

A cute ATC made for a Vera Lane Studio "mixed up" swap at the FB Group! Digi images available at the Vera Lane Studio Etsy Store - I added the hat to the bird digi - so cute! ATC background was cut to size from a paint chip sample card - always looks effective! Added some coloured texture paste through a small patterned stencil. Ink sprayed cloth scrap and hessian piece plus the "be amazed" wording added to finish off! Digi stamp was coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut.

Steamy Tags...

Fun steampunk collaged tags made sometime ago for a swap group. Collage elements are from my fav Etsy Store "Art Tea Life" - check it out - lots of quirky sheets to create with!

Love the white cut out gears (received from a fellow crafter), added ribbon and lace to the tops of the tags, ink sprayed scraps of cloth and added large brass charms to the tags behind the collage pictures. Love to create a steampunk theme!

A mixed media journal page made in February for our monthly "Dot to Dot" challenge at a little Aussie FB Group I am in. Main image consists of various digi stamps by Vera Lane Studio - the great thing with these digis is that they come in png format which means you can mix and match them and make fun mixed up images!!

I used texture paste, stencil, metallic paint, old book pages, clear glue and some swirls of cotton. Main digi image is coloured sparsely with "Smooth" paint.

An altered/collaged index card which I made for a challenge at the Gecko Galz Facebook Group last month! Dog collage element and the Bingo card are both from Gecko Galz! I added scraps of paper and the "woof" alphabet stickers - all attached with staples instead of glue!

Challenge 3 has just started at the relaunched "Sparkle & Glitter Challenge Blog"! this month's theme is Anything Goes OR create with the "twist" of use one of Rick's many digis with a "Hat"!! for my creation I've used Rick's "Queen of Hearts Hat" digi - just LOVE this image!!!

I've created this mixed media journal page. Background is texture paste through a heart stencil which I sprayed with red ink spray when it was dry. I coloured the Queen of Hearts Hat digi with copic markers and fussy cut. I added her to the page with some ink sprayed muslin cloth, a little white paper doily, flourish 3d sticker and a couple of tiny flat backed pearls.

Rick has soooooo many fantastic digis wearing hats in his Zibbet Store - pop over and grab one and join our challenge this month!

Kokeshi Dolls....

A new set of digis by Janet at Vera Lane Studio - Kokeshi Dolls! I've made several creations with these gorgeous digis.

Firstly an ATC using a scrap piece of card left over from another creation - ATC's are a great way to use up left over bits and pieces!

I just love the backgrounds and colours of these tags - made very simply with blobs of acrylic paint and a brayer! Digis coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut. To finish off I added some cord to the tag tops and a few little stickers.

Finally two altered drink coasters - made for a swap I hosted at another group I belong to. Digis also coloured with pastel pencils and added to the collaged backgrounds. Too cute!

Feeling a little chilly on this side of the world!!! This cute little penguin was a freebie at the Vera Lane Studio awhile ago - so cute - couldn't resist creating this "cool" page!!! Digi coloured with pastel pencils. Page background is paint and texture paste through a stencil. Added some "snow" for the little guy to stank on and added the computer generated wording!

A quick post to share another altered index card - made for a Sheepski Facebook Challenge a few months ago. Sheepski digi is "Lilly". I used Tim Holtz tissue paper on the background with ink sprays and image was coloured and fussy cut and added to the card along with the sticker wording.

Mermaid & Seahorse....

Sharing creations from 2 new digi stamp sets by Vera Lane Studio - "The Mermaid" and "Seahorse and Octopus"!! Great sets to create with!

I created the mermaid page first for when that set was released and then created the facing page with the other new set - slightly different but I still think they work well together!

Page backgrounds (black book) are acrylic paint, stencils, texture paste, stampendous colour fragments for the "sand" plus nuvo crystal drops. Digi images coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut.
