Sprinkle & Sparkle....

August 16th 2017

Sharing a new journal page using a fab new set of digis by Janet at Vera Lane Studio "Sprinkle and Sparkle"!!

These 2 little gals are so cute! I printed them on watercolour card and used watercolour pencils to colour in - and of course I added some glitter glue to their crowns and wings!

Page background is brayered paint and impasto medium through a square stencil. I added some Brea glitter ink as well as some pastel crayons to edge the squares to amek them stand out a bit. O just love the nice bright pink colours!!

The Smallest Things...

August 12th 2017

Sharing a baby boy card made with a fantastic little set of digis by Vera Lane Studio "Swaddle them" - such a cute set and perfect for either a baby boy or baby girl or one of each LOL!

The little baby is perfect for paper piecing as shown here and I just had to colour the face with copics. I used a pre printed and pre cut window card with a cute little teddy pattern. I printed the wording to fit behind the window - set comes with 2 phrases to use! I added some muslin cloth behind the baby and finished with a piece of blue lace tied at the spine. I also added an insert in matching teddy paper to the inside to write on. A nice quick and easy card when you need one in a hurry!

I am entering this card in the current "Cardz for Guyz" challenge which is to make a baby boy card - a perfect challenge for this!!

Relax & Sparkle...

August 6th 2017

Our theme for this month at the Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group is "Sparkle" so we have all been creating projects with glitter and sparkle! I've used one of the "Ladies Who Lunch" digis to create this page which I spritzed with shimmery ink sprays, added some gems and some glitter glue to the main image for lots of sparkle!

Printed wording is also by Vera Lane Studio. the stitching on the page is the back of the previous page but adds to the texture - I always love sewing on my pages!

Airless Chambers Blog is BACK!!!!!

August 2nd 2017

"Banshee" by Rick St Dennis

Yes Rick St Dennis' Airless Chambers Blog "DARK" challenges are back!! Perfect to dig all of your dark Rick St Dennis images out and create and join the creepiness!!!

I've created a page in one of my larger size journals - and just couldn't resist adding the "PMS" saying LOL - a bit of creepy scary humour!!!!!

Loved creating the background for this image - I added to a page I had been using as a "mop up" page - added lots of textured elements including paste, fabric, mesh etc. Ink sprays and water soluble crayons added more colour and dimension. Wording is computer generated. Digi was coloured with Copics and fussy cut. I just love how this turned out!

I'm also entering this in the current Dream in Darkness Challenge - I've obviously haven't used the "twist" they have for this month but am entering this as anything goes - it's still creepy and dark LOL!!

Make sure you check out the blog for all the DT inspiration and of course to add your dark creation! Rick's Zibbet Store has so many amazing dark creations - pop over and grab a few!
