A Juggling Act...

August 29th 2017

An altered index card for one of the Facebook challenges at the Gecko Galz Group - theme of Red & Yellow! I've used one of the clowns from the Gecko Galz "Clowning Around" collage set. Card background was some leftover coloured texture paste in red and yellow covered with some Tim Holtz tissue paper. I used a Posca pen to draw a border around the card and also the computer generated wording. Simple but effective!

Sharing a journal spread done for a Round Robin for a great little Aussie Art Group I belong to!! The theme of these pages was : Tree (as Spirit) - I LOVED creating in this journal!!

All digis are by Vera Lane Studio - I used images from several of the sets that are available in the store - they all mix and match sooooo well!!!

Background was paint spread using a brayer plus I added some stencilling for a bit more depth and then all the images were coloured with pastel pencils, fussy cut and arranged on the pages!

I LOVE how these pages turned out!!!

The Smallest Things...

August 12th 2017

Sharing a baby boy card made with a fantastic little set of digis by Vera Lane Studio "Swaddle them" - such a cute set and perfect for either a baby boy or baby girl or one of each LOL!

The little baby is perfect for paper piecing as shown here and I just had to colour the face with copics. I used a pre printed and pre cut window card with a cute little teddy pattern. I printed the wording to fit behind the window - set comes with 2 phrases to use! I added some muslin cloth behind the baby and finished with a piece of blue lace tied at the spine. I also added an insert in matching teddy paper to the inside to write on. A nice quick and easy card when you need one in a hurry!

I am entering this card in the current "Cardz for Guyz" challenge which is to make a baby boy card - a perfect challenge for this!!

Relax & Sparkle...

August 6th 2017

Our theme for this month at the Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group is "Sparkle" so we have all been creating projects with glitter and sparkle! I've used one of the "Ladies Who Lunch" digis to create this page which I spritzed with shimmery ink sprays, added some gems and some glitter glue to the main image for lots of sparkle!

Printed wording is also by Vera Lane Studio. the stitching on the page is the back of the previous page but adds to the texture - I always love sewing on my pages!
