Desert Island Crafts Itinerary

I'm happy to say I was asked to join the DT at Desert Islands Crafters Challenge Blog and this is my first challenge as a part of the team. If you haven't joined the challenges before you need to check the "Itinerary" at the blog which is a list of 10 items - you need to use at least 3 of the items on your creation to enter!! This week we are lucky enough to have Floppy Latte as our sponsor - they have a great range of digis so please check out their store.

My card uses 5 items from the itinerary: Full Moon - Bats or Owls - Silhouettes - Purple - Silver or Gold. Now which items will you use???

If Nothing Ever Changed...

This fabric hanging has been made with images from Paper Imagery Designs along with a computer generated quote and has been hand stitched by myself. I love making little fabric hangings and I particularly love the quote:

If nothing ever changed there'd be no butterflies.

This is for the challenge the Inspired By Challenge Blog based on the inspiration picture - I've gone with nature & neutral earthy tones. I'm also entering this at the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow "Things with Wings - Birds, Butterflies and even Bats". There is some great DT inspiration at the blog - gorgeous vintage/shabby chic style creations! I'm also entering my fabric hanging in the current "Brown Tones" Challenge at the It's All About the Vintage Blog. I'm also joining the "Fall into Fall" Challenge at Frilly & Funkie with these earthy tones.

A reminder post for our challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC Blog "Based on a Story Character". For this ATC I've used the "Queen of Hearts" Character (a digi stamp from Gecko Galz) with an actual playing card as the background!

After making this ATC I decided to turn it into a card and add some more wording "Have a Great Birthday". The background printed "frame" is also from Gecko Galz.

Let's Celebrate Fall!

Firstly here in Australia we call "Fall" - Autumn - LOL!!! Luckily it's not Autumn here but Spring and warmer weather slowly creeping in at last!! But I have created this "Fall" coloured card for the current challenge over at the Just Some Lines Blog using another of their images I chose as prize winner a few weeks ago - "Crystal Emo" - isn't she gorgeous!! I've used the new sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch Challenge Blog to layout this card.

I am also entering this card in the "Fall into Fall " Theme at Clearly Inspired Challenge Blog. And at the Emergency Crafters Blog they have an "Autumn Leaves" Challenge. Everyone seems to have Autumn Challenges at the moment - they are great colurs to create with - I am also linking up to the Simply Create Too Challenge Blog for thie current challenge!

That spooky time of the year is looming & I've made these distressed cards using all new products from Gecko Galz - great collage images & patterned papers released in time for you to create for Halloween at the end of October so make sure you check out the store!!!

My first card is being entered in the current "Lots of Layers" Challenge at Try It On Tuesday and features a great image from the "Tricks & Treats" Collage Sheet along with 5 different patterned papers from the Hocus Pocus range also from Gecko Galz. And I am also entering this in the Craft Us Crazy "Halloween" Challenge!

I am entering this second card in the new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog with the theme of "An Early BOO"!! Once again image and patterend papers are from Gecko Galz with the addition of a Tim Holtz "Play" Ticket, some ribbon & muslin bow!

Although Halloween is really not celebrated here sometimes there may be some kids trick or treating with their parents so I will be prepared!!!

I can't believe it's nearly the end of the month again and time for our New Release Blog Hop at the Dude Time Doodles Challenge Blog!! Make sure you visit everyone on the hop so you can see the great new designs from Dude Time Doodles!! I've used "Twyla Twilight" for my card and I just couldn't resist making her into the character "Elvira" complete with a quote from Elvira!! Background card has been printed with a great patterned paper from Gecko Galz. LOL this was such a fun card to make.
