This is my card for the new blog Friendship's Garden very first challenge - New Beginnings. This challenge blog does not allow the use of stamps but you can use collage sheets, die cuts etc. This challenge also required that there was a "window" cut from the front flap of the card and I've used my square Spellbinder dies to cut mine in the corner.
Those of you that know me won't be surprised that I have made my own "interpretation" of the theme and I've used a quote from Plato and some fantastic images from a recently purchased collage sheet from Art Tea Life. I've added some tulle and ribbon to the images. The quote has been printed on the paper insert of the card.
My "new beginning" is that the woman is starting to "knit" a new creation and the quote stresses that it's important to lay a good "base" - I think this can be applied to anything we "begin"! LOL you know some of the "reasoning" behind my creations is "deep" and "symbolic"!!! But I hope you like it and maybe you will join the new challenge!!

ReplyDeleteTo have taken that knitting needle and used it in such a way is so fabulous.

oh Sharon !
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous.
Love her on the grey ground that way and your use of the window !
This challenge is a good one
instead of just a theme there are some really
motivational rules here !
No stamps must have been hard to adhere to !
I love how you used the needle thru the knitted flowers and the touch of tulle - Perfection.
All Hail Plato !
