The Earth Laughs in Flowers......

July 17th 2014

Sharing a journal page made for the Stampotique Challenge (SDC 155) Newspaper/Magazine theme. I followed Janet's idea for adding text to my page at her blog - Vera Lane Studio - I love Janet's images which I have used on this journal page available at Stampotique. Gorgeous flower f=girl image is "China Belle" and the Emerson quote is also a Janet Klein image.

I bought a Cameo Silhouette a few months ago and can you believe I only got it out of the box about a week ago - LOL - I am time poor - but I am loving it - still working it all out of course but did manage to cut the cherry blossom branch and flowers - I was very excited!!!!

Background is acrylic paint and I used Asian newspaper pieces and Janet's technique to add the text to the page - probably need some more practice with that but my first effort so I'm still happy! Image coloured with Copics and everything adhered with Gel Medium. Love getting painty and sticky fingers in the name of crafting!!!!

This page is also inspired by the Journal 52 Week 13 prompt: "How does your Garden Grow" - this is a Japanese garden in the making!
