Mini Halloween Pocket Letters....

October 30th 2016
Sharing 2 x mini pocket letters made for an Aussie Swap Group I belong to - with a Halloween theme of course for this time of the year!

This first one I am entering in the current Desert Islands Craft Challenge using the following items from their itinerary: green & black, Halloween sentiment, stripes, ribbon or twine - I have ribbon & twine on the spine of the pocket letter.

I started with a base ATC from black card and then cut up purple paint chip samples - perfect for a quick background of colour! Added green ink sprayed muslin cloth and images by Lisa's Altered Art. I added washi tape and the ribbon & twine to the plastic pockets.

The next mini pocket letter I did with an orange and black pumpkin theme - images again from Lisa's Altered Art and backgrounds done with black card and paint chip samples.

I am entering these ATC's in the current Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge with the theme of Witches, Bats & Black Cats - perfect for the little witches sitting in the carts!

Thanks...

New image by Sandra Caldwell #1130 Thankful Couple - available now in her Etsy Store!

Image coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and added to this journal page with a "patchwork" of "thanksgiving" collage images available from Gecko Galz (banner/flags also from Gecko Galz).

I love how this page turned out and I am entering it at the current Time Out Challenges Blogspot with their theme of "Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart". And also entering at The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge with theme of "Pumpkins or the Colour Orange" - think I have a bit of both on this page.
And lastly the Make My Monday Challenge Blog and I've chosen the Autumn theme instead of the Halloween theme - I love Halloween creations but we really don't celebrate it here in Australia.

Who is Cold?

October 20th 2016

New image this week in Sandra's Etsy Store - #1102 Who is Cold!!!

I've created a textured journal page with background colours to match this owl that I couldn't resist colouring in orange LOL! Background is a patterned orange tissue paper which something came wrapped in - just couldn't bear to throw it away along with ink sprays, texture paste and stencil and some water soluble crayons. The owl was coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut. I added feathers, snowflake embellies and some hessian along with the scrabble tiles to finish it all off!

For those of you who use Sandra's digis - of you purchase 5 or more digis and mention I "sent" you then you can get a free digi from Sandra - so get to the store and check out the new digis - newbies every Monday!

Mummy Dust....

October 16th 2016

I'm playing along with the current challenge at the Sami Stamps Blog - theme of add some texture. I've created this halloweeny textured journal page for the challenge using "Mummy Girl" image available from Sami Stamps. I am also entering this at the Left of Centre Challenge Blog for their "Halloween with Sami Stamps" challenge - perfect for this Sami Stamps page!

This is a page in my black paged journal. I black Gessoed the page to start and then used gel medium to cover the whole page with muslin fabric and also added some gritty texture paste to some of the edges for even more texture - once everything was dry I used ink sprays in dark colours to add some colour.

I used a "Mummy Dust" label from on of the Gecko Galz collage sheets to add to the top corner and some calico & muslin scraps with a Ankh cross charm to the bottom. Digi stamp was coloured with copics, fussy cut and then I stuck on bits of calico to add texture to her "wrapping" LOL!! I added her to the page along with a few more scraps of fabric to finish off! Love how this turned out!

Steamed Pumpkin...

October 14th 2016

A great Steampunk Pumpkin image by Sandra Caldwell - available in her Etsy Store - #1009 Steampunk Jacko!!!! Such a fun image which I was lucky enough to win in one of Sandra's Facebook Group competitions!

I altered an index card for this creation - background is some flouro orange paint with a steampunk die cut which I had leftover from another creation and to which I added silver paint with my finger. Image coloured with copics and fussy cut plus I added a metal charm, sticky mesh and computer generated wording!

I'm entering this in the current Desert Islands Craft Blog challenge - I have used the following items from the itinerary: use a die cut, use paint, no pink and something metal!!!!

3D with Lemon Shortbread...

October 13th 2016

I'm joining Anne Lise's Blog and creating for Lemon Shortbread for this week as a "guest" - click here to be taken to Anne Lise's Website!!!

The "theme" for this is 3D - I've altered an index card with ink spray and texture paste coloured with paint for the leaves. I coloured the image with copics and colour pencils and fussy cut and then mounted to the index card. I also added some fussy cut printed butterflies and the scrabble letter word "remember" plus a paper flower in her hair!

Thinking Gal...

October 3rd 2016

New release day at Sandra's Etsy Store - always so many quirky new releases each month! Today I am sharing #625 Thinking Gal. Above is the pic I took after I coloured her with pastel pencils.

Normally I fussy cut everything LOL but for this creation I left the image uncut and added her to a mixed media journal page. Background is torn serviettes plus bits and pieces of left over hessian, flowers/leaves etc.

Come into My Parlour.....

October 2nd 2016

A new month and new challenge at the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog and of course the theme this month is "Halloween" - what else could it be!!

I've used 2 images from Teri's Etsy Store and worked on my black paged journal to create a mixed media creation! Images used are "Sexy Goth Girl" & "Allura" - worked perfectly together which is great when you have a png file!

I'm also entering this in the October Dream In Darkness Challenge - a nice and dark goth style creation perfect for their challenge blog! And also the Left of Centre Creative Challenge Blog for their Halloween theme this month as well - what a great creative month this will be!

And also entering this in the Desert Islands Crafts Challenge Blog using 4 of the items from the itinerary - they are: "Spiderwebs", "Tear Something", "NO Pink" and "Something Metal" - always love to play along with this challenge blog!
