November 20th 2014

The theme for our new challenge at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog is "Falling for Fall" - of course it's not fall here in Australia it's Spring but I've still created a fall themed and coloured ATC for this week's challenge! Our sponsor this week is Sami Stamps and as they have an Anything Goes Challenge this week I am also entering my ATC there!

Have a Cookie Sweet Xmas......

November 16th 2014

I just love to make non traditional style xmas cards - really I like anything non traditional LOL!

My xmas card uses a great stamp from the JessicaLynnOriginal Store - I love these Jasmine Becket-Griffith images - make sure you check this one out and the others in the range at the store - this one is all ready to be purchased for xmas!

Papers are digi from SheryK Designs Etsy Store - I love them beacuse they have lots of pinks and other soft colour tones - perfect for the more non traditional look!

I distressed the edges of all the patterned papers, added some pink mesh behind the image along with a flower embellishment and candy cane charm - so cute!

I'm going to have some fun and enter this card in a few challenges!

The Coffee, Chocolate & Cards Challenge Blog have a "Your Favourite Holiday" themed challenge this week so I'm entering there along with Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge Blog with their Anything goes challenge. The Crafty Catz Blog's theme is "Christmas is Coming" and the Ruby's Rainbow Challenge is "Non Traditional Christmas" - just perfect!

Spring is Sprung...

November 14th 2014

Had some fun making this double journal page for November! I used a great stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal "Enjoying the Sounds of Spring" - I think I used nearly every stamp in the set - there are some great tiny stamps like the butterfly & ladybird that were just perfect for "dotting" around the pages!

I stamped Brentwood on card and coloured him and then fussy cut and added to the page. All the other stamping was direct to my Dylusions Sprays background. I made a flower stencil myself with a Silhouette design - I cut it from transparency and sponged ink over it.

If you haven't visited the JessicaLynnOriginal Store recently you really should check it out - a new look and lots of great stamps as well as a few cute digis!! And remember the JLO Store exclusively sells Jasmine Becket-Griffith Stamps - I have a great "non traditional" xmas card to share soon with a Jasmine Becket-Grifith stamp!

Card base is a Silhouette design. I'm loving having to think of "masculine" cards - good to have up your sleeve!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town.......

November 2nd 2014

A new month which means a new Readers Art Quest at the Unruly Paperarts Blog and this month our prompt is "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" - perfect as Xmas is fast drawing near!!!

I couldn't resist using "Brentwood Owl" from JessicaLynnOriginal - a great little freebie available in the store! I added a JLO Poinsettia image to his t-shirt - coloured him in xmas colours and added a xmas hat from a collage sheet which I purchased at an Etsy store.

My journal page background was sprayed with Dylusions sprays and I made the holly stencil on my Cameo Silhouette and sprayed with white Dylusions - love the effect. Xmas tree is a Silhouette cut out. Wording was stamped with Stazon ink. A great fun xmas page!
