June 30th 2012
A reminder post for our challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog.

I have 3 ATC's to share - firstly my "F for Feline" ATC using a great image from Michelle Perkett Studio.

A house without a cat is not a home!

And Secondly I made 2 "Fairy (Fae)" ATC's using images from Smeared Ink - I love the green & purple colours on these!

Hope you can join us!

Relax!

June 30th 2012

This is my entry for the current challenge at Jacksons Digital Expressions. Last week I won the challenge with my entry so I was pretty excited about that!! This week is Anything Goes and/or use the sketch provided - I have based my card layout on the sketch. The image I have used from Robert Jackson is "My Vacation" - I'm sort of on holidays although it's not Summer here but Winter so I'm trying to relax before the madness of my job starts again !!!

The little flag/banners are from an Etsy Store Ultramarine Stars I discovered whilst searching for banners in these bright colours. I love the background beach theme paper. The 'relax' lettering are from a sheet of stickers I have.

I'm also entering this at ATC's & Cards with Attitude in their "Anything Goes" Challenge. And Emergency Crafters have a "Summer Fun" Challenge. Totally Papercrafts ask that you use a "Digi Image" on your creation with I have done with the Robert Jackson image.

Gear up for Christmas!

June 29th 2012
I haven't joined a Less is More challenge for quite some time so when I saw their current challenge "Paper Piecing" I decided to make a card as I haven't done any piecing for quite some time.

I purchased a new christmas image from Smeared Ink "Steampunk Sugarplum Fairy" and decided she was perfect to Paper Piece. She was printed directly onto my base card along with a Steampunk Font Christmas Greeting. I paper pieced her dress, shoes, goggles and star with a Steampunk Background design from Dezinaworld. Background card is a metallic white card so it has a nice shine - perfect for christmas celebrating!!

Full Moon Madness

June 28th 2012
I couldn't resist making something for this new Smudgy Antics Challenge with the new "Hallo Kitty" image I just purchsed from Smeared Ink!

I made this collage style card with the Kitty image and I typed part of the poem "The Cat and the Moon" by WB Yeats and added it to the card. I thought the poem in a poetry book I have by Yeats perfect for this Full Moon theme - I even added a "moon" to my card in the background!

The Cat and The Moon by WB Yeats
The cat went here and there.
And the moon spun round like a top,
And the nearest kin of the moon,
The creeping cat, looked up.
Black Minnaloushe stared at the moon,
For, wander and wail as he would,
The pure cold light in the sky
Troubled his animal blood.
Minnaloushe runs in the grass
Lifting his delicate feet.
Do you dance, Minnaloushe, do you dance?
When two close kindred meet,
What better than call a dance?
Maybe the moon may learn,
Tired of that courtly fashion,
A new dance turn.
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
From moonlit place to place,
The sacred moon overhead
Has taken a new phase.
Does Minnaloushe know that his pupils
Will pass from change to change,
And that from round to crescent,
From crescent to round they range?
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
Alone, important and wise,
And lifts to the changing moon
His changing eyes.

F is for .......

June 27th 2012
It's Wednesday again and time for another challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog! This week we have a new sponsor "Soft Pencil Studio" so as always just by entering you get the chance to win a prize!!

This week our theme is "F for ......." - I'm sure you can come up with something "interesting" for this week's challenge.

The DT were given a cute little image from Soft Pencil to use - I used the "flowers" from the image and did a little bit of fiddly paper piecing - the flowers were very small to cut out!! I added a great "friends" quote!

We can't wait to see your ATC's!!

Choo Choo Charlie

June 27th 2012
It's the last Wednesday of the month which means "New Release" time at Dude Time Doodles & a Blog Hop via the Challenge Blog & DT Members! You should have arrived here from Tammy's Blog and then be heading over to see what Anne has made with the new designs!

As you can see I've used the new Choo Choo Charlie image - I thought he was perfect for my love of vintage style so I've coloured him with earthy Copics and used Clear Distress Crackle over the top to give hima an aged look - I did the same with the vintage steam train. I added a postcard background, collage tickets, little letters and a great watch charm to finish it all off.

I'm also entering Charlie at Everybody Art Challenge in their Monochromatic Brown Challenge. And Party Time Tuesdays has an anything goes challenge - perfect for Charlie too!!

Baseball Nut!!??!!

June 26th 2012

Another great "ice cream flavour" for Week 3 of the Colour of Summer 2 Baseball Nut (vanilla, raspberry & cashews) LOL never heard of it here in Australia!!!! Anyway I was still happy to create with these yummy flavours using another great collage image from Gecko Galz - make sure you check out their site - I'm using Gecko Galz images all throughout the Colour of Summer this year!

Next week has another great flavour and I can't wait to get creating!!

A One Eyed One Horned Flying Purple People Eater

June 25th 2012

I had a fantastic time making this creation for the new challenge at Vicki's The Cheerful Stamp Pad "Numbers" Challenge!!! Obviously I have based my card on the Number "ONE" LOL!!

This gorgeous "Dilly Monster" is from our sponsor this fortnight - Dilly Beans - I'm a big fan of Dilly Beans Digis - they are great fun & I love the quirky designs!

I'm actually also entering this in the Current Dilly Beans "Dots" Challenge as I made the inked background card & added "dotty" stamps!! The wings are from a Lisa's Altered Art Collage Sheet, I printed the wording myself & added a birdcage die cut with ribbon and gems. I love purple!!!

Life is a Song. Love is the Music.

June 24th 2012

This card has been made with a Digital Stamp from Fine Arts by Robert Jackson. I've only recently come across this range of stamps so I just had to do some "retail therapy" & buy some to play with & join the challenge at Jackson's Digital Espressions Blog. Their theme this week is to "alter" something - the design team have altered coasters - so I decided to cover an old coaster with strips of orange/yellow paper and used it to mount on this card as a backing to the new image "It's Like Poetry". I added the quote and some textured paper. I love to create with bright colours for a change & this has turned out nice & cheery!!

I'm also entering this at Party Time Tuesdays as they have a great bright orange coloured inspiration picture for their current challenge - just perfect for this card!

If You've Got It Flaunt It!

June 23rd 2012

LOL don't you just love this Dude Time Doodles image "Fanny She Devil"?? I've made this gate fold card for a few challenges. Firstly I'm entering her at the Smudgy Antics "Pretty Creepy" Challenge as although she's decked out in pink she is rather scary looking with those fangs & horns!!! She also fits in at the Macabre Monday's "Eerie Elegance" Challenge - she still looks "classy" with her robe & earrings but she is a bit eerie as well!! And Forever Night is running an Anything Goes Challenge so Fanny will join over there too!!

I'm also linking up to Pink Saturday this week as I haven't made a pink creation for awhile and love to join in with the fun & inspiration at Beverly's Blog!

Cute Wedding Couple!

June 17th 2012

This week I'm going to join the Just Some Lines "Wedding" Challenge with a card I made recently using a cute "Bridal Couple" image from JSL. I printed the image on metallic paper and just highlighted areas with Copic Markers as I wanted a soft looking effect & not total colouring in. Background white & gold card are metallic sheen as well. And I've added lace, tulle and a little gold Congratulations sticker I found at the cheap shop!

Bad Baby!

June 14th 2012

I love the theme of the new Smudgy Antics Challenge this week "Bad Baby". I had made the ATC I used on this card for challenge awhile ago with the intention of turning it into a fun "Birth" card for some people we know who have a baby due shortly so I thought as the Baby is "crying" it's being a bit "bad" LOL!!! I added a Smeared Ink Digital Stamp Frame on the sheet behind the ATC along with a bit more muslin around the edges of the frame! The little baby face image is a freebie from Freubels Freebies.

A new "Stripes" Challenge at Dilly Beans this week.
