Don't Go Breaking My Heart...

A cute page in one of my journals for the current challenge at the Some Odd Girl Blog!!! I used the "twist" too which was a heart/valentine/pink inspiration. I used the digi "All Wet Cat" available in store - such a cute image.

Page background was left over paints, plus some texture medium mixed with acrylic paint through a stencil. Cat digi coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and added to page with some muslin/cheesecloth. I added a white wavy border to one side of the page plus some pink heart themed 3D stickers to the kitty and page corner. Wording is computer generated.

I had a lot of fun with this page and love how it all turned out!

Love is in the Air...

Sharing a Vera Lane Studio DT creation today! And as February is the month of "romance" LOL most of my makes for this DT will be love themed this month for fun!

Stamps sets used for this altered index card are:
Whimsical Girl and Dog in Heart Garden
Lil Love Whimsical Girl with Hearts
Oh La La Set (single hearts)

To make this altered index card I started by printing the pile of hearts digi from the Lil Love set directly to the card and then ink sprayed with pink and red. I added some washi tape to the card at the bottom and also a small bit in the top corner - washi tape is recycled from a package I received - waste not want not! Whimsical girl and hearts were coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and added to the background. I computer generated the "love is in the air" wording - cut out and edged with a sharpie. To finish off I used gold Smooch to edge the card.

My DT creations for Vera Lane Studio using one of the cute images from the **NEW** Raccoon Set of digis available at the Vera Lane Studio Etsy Store!

I've created a double shipping tag using old book pages on the background along with Gesso and distress ink. I added hessian leaves and a paper flower with brad plus some hessian fabric along the bottom and with the wording and string at the top of each tag to finish off!

I coloured the cute baby racoon with pastel pencils and fussy cut - of course - LOL! I love this set - have the other images printed out to colour and create with as well!! Starry Starry Night....

Sharing an altered index card today using Vera Lane Studio digis of course! I've used "Star" from the "Star Set of 5 Digis" available in store!

I love this set - I have another creation to share later with images from this set as well - all the components are so versatile - great for lots of "themes"!! The background on this index card was done with paint and my Gelli Plate direct to the card plus some scraps of paper napkins along with paint chip samples - who can resist grabbing a handful of samples when they visit the hardware store??? I added the sticker white lace, plus muslin cloth scrap and fussy cut "Star" after she was coloured with Copics and colour pencils. Wording is computer generated and to finish off I used my gold Smooch to edge the wording and the border of the index card!

My Vera Lane Studio DT creation for this week using images from the newly released "Woodlands Props" set of digis - just so perfect to use with so many of Janet's other sets! I've added "Lil Red" from the Lil Red and Big Bad set LOL plus some "teddies" from other sets!! It's a Teddy Bear's Picnic!

 

I made a scene with all the png files and printed it direct onto an index card and then coloured everything with pastel pencils and did a chalk background! Wording from The Teddy Bear's Picnic is computer generated.

Feeling Green Around the Gills!!!

My DT creation for this week for Vera Lane Studio! Now this green looking gal is from the "Sakana" Digi Set - I just could not resist this set - love the fish on her head and I thought the wording I added was perfect!  I was practicing my Kit and Clowder colouring lesson of "green" skin with my colour pencils!

Backing card is a 6 x 4 index card which I added some torn bits of old book pages as well as patterned serviettes, coloured texture paste through a stencil plus some hessian type strip I had from a floral arrangement - good recycling LOL - plus computer generated wording and fishy charms!! It's turned out as I had imagined!!
