Blank Page Muse March Challenge: ATC's

March 9th 2018

Nearly time for the new challenge at the Blank Page Muse Blog! Love this month's theme which is to create an ATC!! Easy peasy - no excuses not to join with these little 3.5 x 2.5 inch canvases!! and remember to "hop" around the other DT Blogs to get instructions and inspiration to join the challenge! You have a month to enter!

I've used stamps from the following Blank Page Muse Sets: Rosette Hearts & Artist Trading Card Labels.

Here's a quick run through of how I made my ATC!

I cut some nice thick card to ATC size.

Adhere card to an old book page using a glue stick and then once dry trim off the excess.

Using a spatula smear a thin layer of gesso over the entire ATC surface.

Then using the large background stamp from the rosette Heart Set stamp black pigment ink or versamark (whatever embossing ink you have) to the ATC base and emboss with embossing powder.

Follow the step above for the ATC label stamp on plain thin white card. It's optional to emboss this - I wanted to make it match the front of the ATC once adhered to the back.

Edge the front and back parts of the ATC with gold "Smooch" to give a border and mae it look finished off!

Stamp the double heart/key image onto a scrap of book page and emboss with gold powder and fussy cut.

Use a spatula to apply a thin layer of gesso to another piece of old book page and allow to dry. once dry stamp the wording with black archival ink onto this paper and tear out - edge this piece with gold Smooch as well.

Next add all the elements to the ATC base including a metal corner charm and scrap of muslin cloth, adhere the ATC label to the back and you have your ATC all ready to go!
