Travelling in Style

As promised earlier in the month I am sharing 2 more cards made with new release images from the Gecko Galz "Travel On" Collage Set.

I "teamed" the images with patterned papers also from Gecko Galz - I love the colours of these cards and although they are fairly simple & quick to make I think they still look effective.

Make a Tag!

A reminder that you still have a week left to enter the current "Tag" challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad. My creation for today's post uses several tags which have been stamped with a collage style stamps along with a cute little butterfly boy image from Paper Imagery Designs and they are all tied together with some fluffy wool!

Xmas in July!

I Couldn't resist using my favourite Kraft & Black colour combo and making some Xmas cards with the two new images I have been showcasing for Queen Kat Designs this month - "Penguin Ornie" by Sandra Caldwell and a QKD Design "Peppermint Cupcake".

I used paint and a credit card to decorate the kraft paper and white paint and sequin cut out mesh to decorate the black card behind the images. The builders sticky mesh came in handy yet again and my favourite flower die cut!

Just shows you don't always have to elaborately colour an image to get a great effect - I always love using this style - it's quick and easy and effective!

A fun "Xmas in July" theme at Wicked Wednesday this week and a great sponsor "Just Some Lines"! I love this cute little image from JSL - think I might make this into a Xmas Card in preparation! The little ribbon bow with bell has been "recycled" from a "Lindt Gold Bunny Easter Egg"!! LOL I just knew I couldn't throw it away after Easter!

Let Them Eat Cupcakes Tags!

 Some more of my creations using digi stamps from the new release set by Gecko Galz for July - "Let them Eat Cupcakes! All my tags are based on the June Tag for Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013 - I loved the look of his tag and although I made one for June I decided to make some more with these new images.

All images were printed onto water colour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils & an Aquawash pen. Tag backgrounds are a mixture of Distress inks, distress stains and paint. Tag stamp is a text style stamp I have had for ages and don't know who made it! And you can see I added various textures, fibres & embellishments to finish them off!
