I know you will think I am mad but these are not my "Kathryn Wheel" calendar pages for September this year they are my catch up ones from last year!!! I am a couple of months behind but I am so determined to finish the 2013 year and then make a start on this year - I didn't want to give up and I think that is important!
These pages have a Steampunk theme using fabulous images from Lily at The Octopode Factory - just perfect! I added die cut steampunk gears to the background of my pages before I painted the pages. I stamped "September" down one side of a page. The quote stamp is from a Tim Holtz set and I thought it suited the little "punky" characters who all look very inventive LOL!
I went with a Steampunk theme so I could enter the Punk You Girl Challenge for this month - a great theme and one which I haven't "played" with for awhile!

April Showers Bring May Flowers...
May 6th 2013
In Australia it is not Spring but Autumn so flowers here are coming to the end of their time for this season!! The current challenge theme at The Cheerful Stamp Pad is "April Showers bring May Flowers" so we are loving all the great entries - you still have a week left to enter so link up!!
For this reminder post I have used some great new images from Gecko Galz to make my calendar pages for The Kathryn Wheel challenge! It did take awhile to cut oout all the flowers for each day of the week but I really like the effect! I tried to make a lattice background effect with some masking tape. I can't believe it's only the start of May and I have my pages done already - must be a miracle LOL!!

April Calendar Pages
April 30th 2013
Just snuck in again with getting my pages done for this month for The Kathryn Wheel Challenge!!
For my pages this month I used a credit card to drag the paint down the pages. I used some new images from Angie Delarie to make the "days" of the month and some of her exisiting pre-coloured "Mystery" images - LOL they are trying to unjumble the days of the month which I wrote out randomly! Make sure you check out Angie's Blog for her new release designs this month!! I am so happy I am keeping up relatively well for this calendar challenge!!

The Kathryn Wheel 2013 Calendar Challenge!
January 31st 2013
Well one of the things I wanted to do this year was some journalling as I purchased Kate Crane's DVD's quite some time ago and really wanted to have a play so I deceded that my journal would be filled with whatever I felt like doing so I don't have a separate journal for the calendar I am just mixing it all in with any other pages I create! Her eis the link to The Kathryn Wheel 2013 Calendar Challenge which I am linking up to! I really loved doing this with paint and collage images plus some stamping! I can't wait to work on the month of February!
The little squares for the days of the month are punched from Gecko Galz Patterned Papers and the little winged collage girl is from Ceremony. I used various rubber stamps with the swirl and letters and numbers. I loved getting messy with the paint and ink!
