Happy 11th Anniversary to JessicaLynnOriginal Stamp Company!!!!!

April 2nd 2016

Today is my turn as a DT Member to post here on my blog to help celebrate the 11th Anniversary of Jessica's Business "JessicaLynnOriginal"!!! I've been on Jessica's team since September 2014 - it's great to create for such a talented artist and she is so generous to send stamps here to me "Down Under" in Australia to create with!! We have a week long celebration with DT inspiration posts, some prizes to be won, happenings at the JLO Blog, Facebook Group and other DT Blogs PLUS there is a limited release digi created just to celebrate that you can get from the store FREE!!

Brentwood is Jessica's "Signature" character!!!

I've made a couple of Altered Index Cards to share with this post and a little bit of instruction on how I made them! I'm a big fan of Jessica's "Jasmine Becket-Griffith Stamps" - she is licensed by Jasmine to create rubber stamps from her paintings - you can view the range available to date in the store!

Jasmine Becket-Griffith: Red Maple Fairy & Sienna Dragonling Stamps

Here are my finished index cards and below is a quick run through of what I did!

I started with two 6 x 4 inch ruled index cards - I don't worry about the lines on them I always think it just adds more layers and character if they show through!

I randomly glued torn pieces of autumn coloured patterned serviette to each of the cards and ink sprayed in the "gaps" to add more colour and cover the white card showing through.

I added lots of fibres, hessian, leaves and letters for more texture and layers and a rustic autumn feel.

I stamped the two Jasmine Becket-Griffith Stamps onto kraft coloured paper and did some basic colouring with colour pencils - I didn't want the effect of full on colouring in of the images. I fussy cut the images - because that's what I always do LOL!!!

Everything was glued to the cards and I rubbed distress ink all around the edge of the cards just to finish off!!! Quick and easy but still looks effective!!

I'll be back again on Friday with another post to continue the 11th Anniversary Celebration!

SOC Week 6 : 1 orange + 1 orange + 1 blue

August 5th 2015
This is my Week 6 journal page for the Summer Of Colour which finished a few weeks ago - I was late creating it and getting it linked to the SOC but am still sharing and am still happy that I completed all 6 weeks of the colour challenges - so much fun! Unfortunately this was the last year of the Summer of Colour fun!

Stamp is a Jasmine Becket-Griffith design by JessicaLynnOriginal - there are quite a few Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps at the store - they are some of my favourite stamps!!

I used ink sprays on the background along with some washi tape bits! I love this page and how it turned out and I think the colours suit the pumpkin gal!

Cleopatra: I will not be Triumphed over.....

August 2nd 2015

Sharing another journal page using the new jasmine Becket-Griffith stamp available from JessicaLynnOriginal - I really do love this Egyptian themed gal!

The background of this page is ink sprays and the palm trees are from serviettes - using my stash - yay!! I cut the Ankh cross and black wriggle strip on my Silhouette. Quote printed on kraft coloured paper and torn out and added to the page with the image and bits of muslin cloth. I used "Smooch" on Cleopatra's eyelids and jewellery and the cats collar for some added sparkle to the Copic colouring.

There were "3" NEW Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps released recently so you really should pop over to the JLO Store and check them our - perfect if you love the fantasy type images!

Walk Like an Egyptian!

July 25th 2015

There are 3 new release "Jasmine-Becket Griffith" Stamps over at the JessicaLynnOriginal Store!!! This is just one of them and is just so great to colour and create with!

I've always loved Egyptian style so I was so glad I got this stamp from Jessica to create with. This is one of 2 journal pages I have made with this stamp - I will share the other one later.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers and added some sparkle by colouring the jewels with some "Smooch" colours - they are great for highlighting areas. I cut the camels and wording on my Silhouette. The background is torn bits of Egyptian themed digital paper from an Etsy Store I just discovered called - Remember Me Now. The temple and Egyptian painting images are also part of the pack from Remember Me Now. I had a partly created with serviette which I tore up and put around the edge. At the bottom of the page I added some gritty texture paste and sprayed with brown ink sprays.

Make sure you pop over to Jessica's Blog because she has a fabulous opportunity for you to win one of the new Jasmine Becket-Griffith Stamps that she has released!!! All you need to do is make a creation using the colour inspiration and link up and you will go in the draw!! LOL think I might enter so I can win one of the other stamps myself!

Summer of Colour Week 4: 1 red + 1 red + 1 metallic

July 3rd 2015
"Surrender the Booty!"

Just loved this week's colour combo for the Colour of Summer - I like to colour with red and I enjoyed playing with my gold embossing powder.

I used a stencil with embossing liquid for the bottom of the page and embossed with the gold powder. And I cut the flag and skull from black card and covered with embossing fluid too and gold embossed - love the look (the skull embossed with a deep red powder).

I added some gold thread and red/white string to the pirate flag. Stamped image is by JessicaLynnOriginal and is one of her commissioned Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps - just love the Jasmine Becket-Griffith range - you must check them out in store!!!!

This pic the flash went off but I like it because it shows the real metallic gold embossing powder shine! As always I am looking forward to mext week's colour combo!

Summer of Colour Week 3: 1 purple + 1 purple + 1 yellow

June 28th 2015

Wow what great colours for this week's Summer of Colour!!!! I love purple - any shade!!

I went bright yellow and 2 bright shades of purple and made my background with acrylic paint and a credit card - always love the effect of dragging the paint across the page! Painted a piece of muslin cloth yellow as well. Added a gorgeous birdcage charm & some sticky mesh. Stamped image coloured with Copic Markers.

Stamped image is one of the licensed Jasmine Becket- Griffith stamps by JessicaLynnOriginal - "Red Maple Fairy". The flower stamp is from JLO as well but LOL I forgot the other side of the page had some pearls on it so I couldn't get a "flat" surface to stamp - oh well I still like the effect and I added some painted circles and swiped colour over the stamped gal too to blend it all in together.

Summer of Colour Week 2: pink + pink + orange

June 18th 2015

Wow do I ever love this week's Summer of Colour combo of 1 pink + 1 pink + 1 orange - fabulous colours to play with!!

And here's my little journal page I made with paint - a light pink, a metallic rose pink and orange. I stamped a fabulous JessicaLynnOriginal "Jasmine Becket-Griffith" Stamp over the page and used a pink "Smooch" to highlight her lips, eyes and parts of the butterflies.

Very happy with how this turned out!

NEW Jasmine Becket-Griffith Stamp "Two Cute Dragonlings"

April 14th 2015

This stamp is "Two Cute Dragonlings" and the other which I will share soon is "Clockwork Dragonling" - a great Steampunk style stamp - LOVE LOVE LOVE these new designs!!!

I coloured these cuties with Copic Markers and added the stamp to a black journal page which I added bright water colour paints to along with a bit of white Gesso, some sticky mesh, scrap of muslin and the "Be Kind" stickers - so cute and so great to colour!!

Lots of new releases coming out at JessicaLynnOriginal over the next few months so stay tuned!!!!!!

Jasmine Becket-Griffith Set of Cards

January 23rd 2015

A set of 3 cards using Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps available at the JessicaLynnOriginal Store. I love Jasmine's art and Jessica does an amazing job to draw them as stamps!

I've tried to stick with a black & kraft colour theme and match the Silhouette cut backgrounds to the theme of each stamp, along with the patterned papers & embellishments! I'm really happy with how they turned out.
