CS Designs "Dream a little Dream"

March 7th 2011
Here's 'Hildie'!! I haven't made a card with her for awhile and she is just so gorgeous. Why don't you pop over to Chris' Store and get yourself a 'Hildie' too!!! And see what other images you might like AND check out all the details for the big extravaganza AND the cute little sentiment I have used on the card is one in a range of "freebies" from CS Designs but you need to click here to check out how you can get them!!!!

I've used this week's sketch from Friday Sketchers. LOL I actually turned it upside down as you will see from the original sketch below. I just love the colourings of the patterned papers I have used - they are from a 6 x 6 pad from the BasicGrey Range called "Origins". Quite earthy tonings.

I have also entered 'Hildie' in Vicki from The Cheerful Stamp Pad's 'Spring' challenge - I think she fits right in with the Spring feel with her big flower!

Here is a close up of Hildie and the 'Dream' sentiment!

And here is the sketch I have followed to make my card (remember I turned it upside down):

Deny - Two Ways!!

February 15th 2011
Here are 2 cards made using a new digi I purchased from the Karber Digital Images store. They both use the "Cocktel Deny" Image. The first thing I thought of when I saw this image was Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's - I bet lots of people have thought the same thing.
I have used this digi "two ways" - one as part of a tri shutter card and the second as a xmas card!!! I like to have images that are "versatile" and can be adapted to lots of "occasions" like this one.
Here is the first card - a black and white themed tri shutter card. I have coloured Deny with grey coloured copics and used papers, card and accessories in shades of white, black and silver. The first picture shows the card folded with just the front showing and the picture below shows the effect of when the card is open. I think she looks quite glamorous!
Karber have several challenges going on for February so I am entering the Tri Shutter card in their Monthly Challenge which is any card using any Karber Image.

The next card using Deny is a Xmas themed card! You may think I am crazy to be making Xmas cards already but it's a great way to "get ahead" LOL!! For this card I have used this week's sketch from the Friday Sketchers Challenge and will be entering my card in this challenge as well. I've used xmas papers and xmas coloured card as well as some lace edging, a sprig of holly and some buttons tied with "fluffy" wool! Karber also have a Christmas Challenge for February so I am going to enter Xmas Deny in this challenge.

Bugaboo Bride!

February 6th 2011
I've just quickly made this card for two new challenges. One is the new Bugaboo Challenge for Febraury which has an Anything Goes Theme. The second challenge is the new Friday Sketchers Challenge. I love this "bride" Bugaboo image I think she's gorgeous. I've used nice soft tonings of Bazzil cardstock, a piece of patterned paper, some gold photo corners and sentiment sticker and some really cute paper flowers. I have also entered this card in the "Desert Island Craft Challenge" where I had to use at least 3 of the items from the itinerary - I have used a hand coloured digi image, flowers, circle die cut and some sparkle (the gold photo corners and "congratualtions" sticker).

Shades of Red

31st January 2011
I had to make a card using "Shades of Red" for a swap I am in so I have made this card using a gorgeous Magnolia Stamped Image and I have used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers which I really liked the layout of. I've used Bazzil cardstock as the base as well as some gorgeous embossed paper I have had for quite awhile as well as some ribbon, a little heart charm and some heart punchies!I've used my Spellbinder Nestabilities to cut out the shape around Tilda. I hope the "recipient" of my card likes it!
I am also entering this card in the "I Did It Creations Challenge" this week which also has a "red" theme! As well as that the challenge over at "There's Magic in the Air" has an elements challenge - from their 'board' of elements I have used "ribbon, bling and something punched". Magnolia Down Under Challenge required a card using some form of embossing and as this card has several pieces of embossed paper I decided to enter this card in their challenge as well!

January 22nd 2011
I've just made this Birthday Card using "Dottie" from the Bugaboo Digi Stamps Range and I have used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers to lay out the card. I think Dottie looks very effective in her long red dress - she's ready to party!

Baby Card

January 17th 2011
I had to make a "Celebration" card for a swap I am in so I decided on a Baby Card using a Bugaboo Digi Stamp. I've used the Sketch from Friday Sketchers to assemble my card and have used the colour scheme for The Pink Elephant Challenge - so I've combined 3 requirements into one card!
