I used some left over bits of "London" themed digital papers I purchased from Etsy. I added a bit of Gesso over the top plus some sticky mesh and washi tape. Wording is computer generated. Digi coloured with copics and fussy cut.

Blooming Cold....

September 17th 2017
Quickly sharing this "Blooming Cold" altered index card before the weather turns nice and sunny - we are now in Spring so things are slowly warming up!!! Digi stamps by Vera Lane Studio and I did a bit of a play on words with the penguin wearing a floral hat!! Card background was a "mop up" from leftover paint/stencil/texture paste etc. always handy to have mop up cards for putting together a quick creation!!

Lil Tricksters....

September 15th 2017

A fun new digi set release from Vera Lane Studio "Lil Tricksters"!!!! This set has 8 digis - 6 lil characters plus a sentiment and bowl of eyeballs LOL!!! Great value and so much fun for Halloween coming up! We really don't celebrate Halloween here but I love to create Halloween style projects at any time of the year!!

These two (above and below) I added to a double tag with mixed media background. Digis coloured with copics and fussy cut and I used the set sentiment!

I printed off 2 more of the Lil Tricksters - the skeleton and the little pirate - so cute! These were both added to pages in my mini journal. I love the colours of both of these pages!

I think some of these characters would also be great for little boy birthday cards and invitations as well - they are great and spooky cute!! Make sure you check out the Vera Lane Studio Etsy Store for more great little quirky and cute characters to create with!

September 9th 2017

I had so much fun putting this journal page together with fabulous collage elements by Art Tea Life - available at the Etsy Store!!! there are so many wonderful collage sheets to create with - well worth a visit!!

I've used "gals" from the "Uptown Girl" Sheet - you can create a great array of "characters" LOL!! Background is washi tape, Gesso, Ink Sprays, Paint and great little stamps by Sin City from the "Background Grunge" set to add some colour and interest to the background with the splatters of black paint. Song wording was computer generated, cut out and edged with a pink posca pen.

I made this to enter at the current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge "J is for Jumble" (collage creations) - I think it's a perfect fit for this challenge!

Let's do the Time Warp again!!!!!!!

Bugs & Birds.....

September 8th 2017
An altered index card made for one of this months Facebook challenges at the Gecko Galz Facebook Group with the them of Bugs & Birds.

I used several Gecko Galz collage sheet sets for this card - background images are from the "Fly Away Jewels" set - I cut them all out and stuck them down patchwork style to the card base and added a wash of Gesso all over. The butterflies are from the "Butterfly Jewels" sheet and I fussy cut them and added to the card with an ink sprayed piece of muslin cloith, some blue pearls and some little bits of sparkly Stampendous Shaved Ice - a little hard to see in the pic. To finish I added the "fly" letters in the bottom corner and edged the card with a dark blue ink pad.

Rescue Puppies!

September 6th 2017

Sharing 2 sets of cards made with the most adorable set of "Rescue Puppies" by Vera Lane Studio. I made this especially with a small dog rescue group in mind who I support and volunteer for "Moving Paws Inc" here in Australia. Both sets of cards were donated for their "Vet Bills" Auction recently and are heading off to the lucky bidders to enjoy and use!

Also entering all these fun "Doggie" cards in the current "Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge" theme of "Letter D" - just perfect for all these "DOGS"!!!!!

The first set I made were these:

Puppies printed on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils and fussy cut, added to a linen finish card which had added border sewing machined on and the wording also from the Rescue Puppies set by Vera Lane.

I decided to give the second set a festive feel and added little xmas caps (also by Vera Lane Studio) - process the same as for the above cards with watercolour and sewing machine borders! Loved how they came out - so much fun! I made the sentiments for these myself!

I used "puff" paint for their little xmas hats!
