Don't Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle!

January 31st 2016

Yes another creation from 2015 - this was part of one of the progressive challenges at the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group - unfortunately Sweet Pea Stamps has since closed - they had some amazing artists and images/stamps!!!

This was such a cute image to create a journal page with - a sparkly fairy spreading her sparkle!!

Give me Something to Squark about.....

January 30th 2016

I made this ATC last year for a swap at the Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group - theme of "Put a Bird on It!" LOL a fun swap! You can find all of Janet's digi stamp sets at her Etsy Store - take a look you won't be disappointed - they are so quirky and a lot of fun to create with!

Stilly trying to catch up on sharing my 2015 creations.........

Women are from Venus.......

January 29th 2016

My second January creation as Guest DT Member at Karleigh Sue Digis! Love these quirky and sometimes risqué designs to colour and create with!!

Loved creating this mixed media background which uses paint, serviette pieces, texture paste, stencil, builders mesh tape, posca pen and puff paint to make the "smoke"coming from her spaceship!

Letters were stamped on white paper and roughly cut out and I used a sharpie to put a border around each letter before adhering to the page along with the image which I coloured with pastel pencils. I gave her a green tinge so she looked like she was from another world!

Hear me Roar!!!

January 29th 2016

Sneaking an extra post into my scheduled posts to join the current "You Animal" challenge over at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog - sponsor this week is Vera Lane Studio - so how could I resist making an ATC for this theme with one of Janet's images!!!!

I used a black base card and texture paste through a stencil plus ink sprays and added some washi tape and sticky mesh before adding the cat image coloured with pencils and the little letters!

Doing the Downward Dog......

January 28th 2016

LOL a fun page - a bit risqué of course but I like images like this to create with!

This image is from the January Colouring Club Pack available at the Karleigh Sue Store!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a journal page with a Karleigh Sue new release which I had used my sewing machine on and added lace and ribbon and other fancy stitching - well this is the back of that page! Normally I would have covered the stitching with book pages or collage images but this time I thought the back of the stitching was a nice effect and so all I did was adhere sheer serviettes all over the page for some colour but still allowed the stitching effect to show through! I added the fussy cut image (coloured with pastel pencils), "relax" wording and the "doing the downward dog" lettering! I know she is not doing the real downward dog pose but that is what this image made me think of when I saw it and I like to add a bit of humour LOL!!!!

She Cupid........

January 27th 2016

I just love this card made for Sandra Caldwell and Tsunami Rose!

Image from Sandra is called "130: She Cupid" - so gorgeous!!!! Digital patterned papers and tag are from a new set from Tsunami Rose called "Vintage Parcel" - lots of beautiful papers!

Image coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut. I used my sewing machine to attach all the patterned layers to the black backing card. to finish off I added a piece of muslin (my signature scrap LOL) and some paper flowers and leaves! I love this card and how it turned out - of course I am biased to anything done in pink!

Happy Australia Day!

January 26th 2016
Today it's Australia Day so we have a Public Holiday - more time to craft??????

I decorated this page in a travelling journal at the end of last year which made it's way around New Zealand over here to Australia and then back to it's home in New Zealand!!

I decorated several pages all in an Australiana theme! This amazing koala digi is by Sandra Caldwell (I'm on Sandra's DT!!) you can find it here in her Etsy Store. I sooo love this image that I have to make myself a page in my own journal using this image so I have a coloured image and aussie page for myself!! I coloured the image with Copic Markers and fussy cut, added some aussie style embellies and "g'day" wording! A perfect post for today!

Old Lady Present.......

January 25th 2016

Monday and time again for new releases at Sandra Caldwell's Etsy Store!!!!! We are never disappointed with Sandra's new designs - OMG always soooooo many to choose from and she always surprises everyone including the DT with images we haven't seen!! My Etsy Shopping Cart always has her digis waiting to be purchased LOL!

Today I am sharing a Pocket Letter made using "Old Lady Present" one of the new images by Sandra and gorgeous papers by Tsunami Rose! Plus I added embellies from my own stash, used my Silhouette to cut banner and wording from card printed with Tsunami Rose patterned pages and my sewing machine to sew all the ATC's in the pockets!

The pics above are to show each row of the pocket letter and a bit closer view of what I did in each pocket. Digi image coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut as always! Added washi tape to the spine and some pink & red twine bows.

I still have to fill all the backs of the pockets with goodies - this will be swapped in February with an Aussie Pocket Letter swap group so it will have a new home to go to! Always enjoy making pocket letters!

I just couldn't resist making a journal page with this new image - LOL and how could I resist adding the wording!!!
