Blank Page Muse Stamps: A Fishy Smile!

November 18th 2021

A fun card using a focal stamp designed by Rick St Dennis and Fishy stencil designed by Donna Gray - all links and detail can also be found HERE at the BPM Blog!

I started by stamping my main image and sentiment onto kraft card and fussy cutting! I used a sponge and some fishy coloured ink pads to stencil onto my base card.

I used fishing net and ink coloured muslin cloth to embellish the card along with fun "boggle" eyes on the kitty kat!

A fun quick card to make - suited to any of the fab stamps and stencils at the BPM Store!

Blank Page Muse Stamps: Spooky Pumpkins!

October 26th 2021

A fun halloween card using Blank Page Muse Stamps - CLICK HERE to find the links to the stamps in the BPM Store! I love Rick St Dennis designs so I had fun with this stamp creating a whole new look!

Stamp the pumpkin on kraft card and fussy cut just the "head"!!!

Stamp the "Spooktacular" sentiment on kraft card and tear out. Cut some varying widths of paint chip samples in halloween colours!

Adhere the paint chip strips to the card base, overlap, stagger - whatever "look" you want! Add any other embellishments along with the pumpkin heads and spooky sentiment and add some "evil eye" stickers to totally change the look of the stamped image!

I love how you can achieve a totally different "look" with a stamp by getting creative and using part of the stamp - adding some extra features and you get even more versatility and value from your stamp!

Blank Page Muse Stamps: Nevermore said Poe!

October 10th 2021

Sharing a Blank Page Muse creation today - bright tags for Halloween using fab stamps available at the BPM Store!

Stamps used are available at the store:
Nevermore, Poe and Dribonez Set (Poe and Dribonez designed by Rick St Dennis)

I stamped skulls and bones from the Dribonez set onto tags with embossing ink and embossed with white powder. I then used sponges to colour the backgrounds.

I stamped the Nevermore word and Poe image onto white card and fussy cut.

I arranged the focal images onto the tags and adhered and for fun I added collage witch's hats to Poe!!!

Blank Page Muses Stamps: Unicorns & Whimsy...

September 28th 2021

Another whimsical post for the BPM Blog theme this month! Today my creation uses Unicorns designed by Donna Gray and available HERE in store. And one of the many stencils available in store - Stars designed by Pam Bray for this altered index card.

To create this altered index card I stamped the focal images onto card that had been coloured with water soluble gelatos and fussy cut.

To make the background I covered an index card with a book page and coloured with the same gelato crayons and "smooshed" with white gesso! Once dry I used the Star stencil, embossing paste and silver and yellow embossing powders. I love the silver shine!

To finish I adhered my focal images.

Blank Page Muse Stamps: Flowery Whimsy...

September 12th 2021

There is a "Whimsical" theme this month at the BPM Blog - some great creations by the DT - make sure you check them out!

I'm sharing a mixed media art journal spread using stamps designed by Donna Gray, Terri Sproul and Whimsical Collage gals designed by Xquizart available at Etsy!

Stamp your images from the "Heart of Nature" set with black ink onto white card and colour then fussy cut. Stamp your letters from the "Alphabet Letter Set" with coloured ink - cut out and edge with gold if you like!

Create your background pages - add a layer of white gesso to each page and allow to dry. Adhere some torn scraps of tissue paper. Use Gelato crayons to colour parts of the pages - spritz with water and use your fingers to "rub in"!

Use a coloured ink pad to stamp on the background with your chosen stamps and then "Splatter" the pages with watered down gold acrylic paint to give it even more "whimsy"! Allow to dry.

Print and fussy cut your collage images - Click Here to see where I sourced these whimsical gals from!
Adhere them to your stamped flowers and arrange on one journal page.

Arrange your other stamped image and the lettering on the facing journal page and adhere.

I love the colours and how these pages turned out - love to enhance rubber stamps by using collage images!

Time to Drink "Pink" Champagne.....

September 2nd 2021

Joining the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog challenge this fortnight for their "H is for Hormonal" theme! Digi stamps "Gatsby" by Vera Lane Studio.

Surely drinking champagne and dancing on tables helps with hormonal imbalance - probably doesn't help with hot flushes but anything is worth a try LOL!

Mixed media journal page with lots of texture created with goodies available at the Blank Page Muse Stamps Store - stencil by Stephanie Eaton and rock candy embossing powder by Pam Bray.

Blank Page Muse Stamps: I Think I'm Having a "Light Bulb" Moment!

24th August 2021

Today's mixed media journal page for Blank Page Muse combines collage elements and rubber stamps. The fab Steampunk themed gal is a collage image by Debbie Kerkof of Xquizart - you can find her digital elements HERE AT ETSY.

Rubber Stamps used are: Incandescent Light Bulb and Steam Bicycle available at the Blank Page Muse Store along with hundreds of other fab rubber stamps!

I started by creating my background page in one of my art journals. I had a page that had some "excess" paint swiped over it so that gave me some background colour. I added some patterned tissue paper with matt medium.

I used the "Steam Bicycle" stamp to create some background pattern. I also stamped the "Light Bulb" on white card, coloured and fussy cut to use.

I added some embossing paste through a stencil and added metallic embossing powder.

I arranged all my elements along with the Collage Gal and computer generated wording and adhered everything to the page background. I used cotton to make the light bubs look like they are hanging!

I love how this page turned out!

Blank Page Muse Stamps: Salty Steampunk!

8th August 2021

We have a fun "Steampunk" theme over at the BPM blog this month so I've made a fun card using a stamp designed by Deadseatoons! Love this Top Hat Nautilus Character from the "Midnight Collection Creepy Cute Sea Art" set he is perfect for my Steampunk themed card with his top hat and monocle! Sentiment stamp "Follow Your Heart" is also available at the BPM Store along with the small Cogs and Gears stamp used on the background.

This card was quick and easy to make - started with a base card and created a border with painters masking tape - you know the sort that peels off!!!

I used a spatula to cover the square inside the masking tape. Once the paint was dry I stamped the small cogs and gears stamp and then removed the tape to reveal the painted square! Love the affect!

I stamped the Nautilus Shell and wording on card and coloured with Copics and fussy cut.

I grabbed a few embellishments - fishing net, fishing line "bits" and some ink dyed muslin cloth and arranged on the card base.

Celebrate!
