Blank Page Muse: Feeling Colourful!

My latest creations using stamps and stencils from Blank Page Muse which I am also linking up to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog for their "V is fir Vibrant" theme!

I wanted to create my own textured background card to use for multiple projects so I had fun with paint, embossing powders and stamps to cover an A4 piece of card. If you pop over to the BPM Blog you can find the links to the stamps and stencils used which are available in store!

I used the background card to cut squares with my sizzix dies to use as the background interest on my completed cards. Love that I have lots of this card left over to create ATC's and ATCoins!

I stamped Perfume Bottles and sentiments onto textured paper with pink ink and fussy cut to add with the "quirky" collage gals available at the Itkupilli Etsy Store.

I layered the sizzix cut squares and used my sewing machine to add some "fanciness"!!! I arranged all the elements and adhered to the base card. Perfect Birthday cards for a trendy funky gal!

L is for Leaves....

Playing along with the new "L is for Leaves" Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for this fortnight!

I've added black embossed leaves to this journal page background which uses some new digi/collage stamps by Vera Lane Studio "Fire Escape Flowers". I clearly haven't gone with the traditional coloured leaves LOL!!!

 

Page background was an acrylic print from my Gelli plate. I used a fab leaf stamp by Blank Page Muse - it's one of my fav background stamps. Digi stamps and the wording were printed on kraft coloured paper and fussy cut and added to the page with some hessian and braid.

Rick St Dennis has some fabulous "Kawaii" inspired digi stamp sheets available now in his Zibbet store - great value for a sheet of multiple digis!!

This "face" is "Doddii"  - there are so many faces to colour, fussy cut and create with! I've added this face to a collage dress form by Art Tea Life - as you know my fav collage store - you can find this sheet of dresses in the Etsy Store. Page background is washi tape and "sewing" with my machine plus added braid, buttons, lettering and muslin cloth - so much fun to create this page!!

LOL what a fab theme for this fortnight's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge Blog "Over the Hill"!!!!!! And what a perfect creation I have to enter this challenge!!! "Miss Dee" (by Vera Lane Studio) is feeling "Over the Hill" today and running at half rat power LOL you can tell she's only half made it onto the altered index card!!!!!!

 

This 6 x 4 index card was used to "mop up" excess product from making other things - which is normal for me - never waste anything! Added some other bits & bobs and of course Miss Dee with the computer generated wording. I have to confess Miss Dee is only half on the page because I had a glitch with my printer and that is all that printed out so I decided to utilise her anyway and this was perfect!

A Splash of Colour....

Sometimes all you need is a little Splash of Colour!

 



This page is just perfect for the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog with the theme of "Q is for Quote" - I love to use quotes and wording on my creations.

This journal page is the "back" of a page which I did some machine stitching on for effect - it's always a perfect way to get some texture and interest on the page behind! I didn't add a lot of colour to the background as I used precoloured stems and circles from Vera Lane Studio to make the pretty flowers and a gorgeous "girl" from the Rain or Shine digi set  which I coloured with Copics.

Beach Fun!

A fun beach themed tag created for this months challenge at the Rubber Dance Blog - they have a colour theme which I tried to follow and an alternate "tag" theme which is what I have done.

Collage image is by Art Tea Life and background "netting" and "starfish" stamps along with the "beach fun" words are from the "Retro Beach" Rubber Dance set available in their store.

 

Tag background is old book pages, gelato crayons and the Rubber Dance stamps. I added some fibre to the top, muslin cloth under the collage bathing beauty and finally the wording.

The title of this post is the current "Monday" challenge at the Simon Says Blog! I'm entering these 2 very bright and colourful tags made today especially for the challenge!

Tags backgrounds are old book pages, gesso, gelatos, rubber stamp and black ink, muslin cloth, cotton, collage elements and string.

Rubber stamp is by Blank Page Muse and is from the stamp set "Art Journaling Mixed Media Stamp Set 1 by Pam Bray" - so many fab stamps on this sheet - perfect for backgrounds and for using as feature stamps too. Collage butterflies and wording are available at the "Art Tea Life" Etsy Store - loads of fab sheets to create with.

Angelic Cherub...

A quick post today to share this layered/collage style altered index card made with book pages and left over bits of patterned card. I also added some old braid and muslin cloth and finished with the "cherub" cut out! Love the vintage feel. Sometimes it's nice to get a creation completed quickly and be able to sue all your scraps and bits and pieces!

Menswear!

A fab new release for this week at Vera Lane Studio "Menswear" - both coloured and blank digis - depending on how much time you have to create LOL!!! I've used the precoloured image on my journal page - I love the colours and patterns - fab to create with!

Page background is gelato cryaons, and some black paint mark making, washi tape and the collage image added along with the wording which is also part of the set!

Flying Kat!!!

Having fun with a new digi by Vera Lane Studio - from the set "Kadee and Kat" - this is obviously "Kat" - too cute!! I've added wings from the "Wings for Things" pre coloured collage sheet and the word "fly" from one of the Arthur Avenue collage sheets. I always love how you can mix and match the elements available at the store - makes them so versatile and fun to create with!

 

This is a page in my mini journal - approx. 3.5 x 2.5 in size - like an ATC. Background is coloured texture paste through a stencil on the black painted background. Kat was coloured with Copics and fussy cut with wings added and a piece of muslin cloth for Kat to sit on LOL!!!

A page decorated in my dedicated "Vera Lane Studio" journal using new journal cards and collage elements - all available at the Etsy Store!

 

Page background is some strips of old book pages and distress ink wiped on with a sponge. Journal cards. collage main image and wording are all by Vera Lane Studio - it's great how you can mix and match all the elements from different sets!
