July 31st 2015

A new image at the SLS Lines Store!!! and he's a perfect match for all the fabulous colouring book nudes I have been creating with for SLS Lines! So of course I had to team him with one of the gals for this Hand Made card!

I layered heart patterned paper from the JonyRama Etsy Store on black card to make my base. I cut the wording and heart shape on my Silhouette, added some muslin cloth and the coloured images - perfect and fun!

OMG what a fantastic theme this week at the Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge Blog and for my last week as Guest Designer for July!!!! We want to see you make a card based on the Letter "T"!!!!

Well it's fairly obvious what my Letter "T" is: a T-REX!!!!!!! I had this amazing image from JessicaLynnOriginal and when I knew what the theme for this last week was I knew exactly what I was going to make!!! Patterned dinosaur themed papers are from the Graphic Express Etsy Store and I cut the T-Rex on the Silhouette. How perfect for a little dinosaur crazy boy!!!

Just Hanging Around.....

July 26th 2015

I made this journal page ages ago and I have lots of "draft" posts ready to go on my blog and I am trying to get through them all and get my creations posted here at my blog!

I absolutely love this page - i think it is the gorgeous colours - I used Dylusions Sprays and they have gone such a soft pastel colour as I had the background gessoed. I also did a bit of stencilling and added a flower stamp around the edge plus some tiny stars over the page. The dragonflies are a digi stamp from JessicaLynnOriginal. This is one of those pages I just keep looking at!

Walk Like an Egyptian!

July 25th 2015

There are 3 new release "Jasmine-Becket Griffith" Stamps over at the JessicaLynnOriginal Store!!! This is just one of them and is just so great to colour and create with!

I've always loved Egyptian style so I was so glad I got this stamp from Jessica to create with. This is one of 2 journal pages I have made with this stamp - I will share the other one later.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers and added some sparkle by colouring the jewels with some "Smooch" colours - they are great for highlighting areas. I cut the camels and wording on my Silhouette. The background is torn bits of Egyptian themed digital paper from an Etsy Store I just discovered called - Remember Me Now. The temple and Egyptian painting images are also part of the pack from Remember Me Now. I had a partly created with serviette which I tore up and put around the edge. At the bottom of the page I added some gritty texture paste and sprayed with brown ink sprays.

Make sure you pop over to Jessica's Blog because she has a fabulous opportunity for you to win one of the new Jasmine Becket-Griffith Stamps that she has released!!! All you need to do is make a creation using the colour inspiration and link up and you will go in the draw!! LOL think I might enter so I can win one of the other stamps myself!

Have a "Quacker" of a Day.....

July 23rd 2015

What a fantastic new image from SLS Lines???? I just had to have this one to colour and create with!

I got my sewing machine out for this card and sewed all the patterned papers onto the black card - always love the look of the sewing but it is time consuming! Added a clock charm, tim holtz ticket and a Silhouette file "happy birthday" cut out to finish it all off.

Make sure you pop over to the SLS Lines Blog and see all the other new release images for July on creations by the DT!

July 21st 2015

How could we not have some sort of Christmas Challenge in July LOL!!! So this week at the Cardz 4 Guyz Blog we look forward to seeing your "masculine" Christmas cards!!!!! Let's see what images you can come up with!

I've used a real cute little stamp - a little "Yorkie" dressed in a Santa Costume LOL!! I've made a mini card card on my Silhouette. I kept it fairly basic - just added the "xmas" letters in one row of holes, added the coloured stamp and bit of muslin and a single twine knotted around the spine.

Stamp is from JessicaLynnOriginal - of course - my favourite artist!!

Snow Queen

July 18th 2015

Loved making this "cool/icy" themed journal page for SLS Lines with this beautiful image and also digital patterned papers "Minty Teal" from the store too. Background has strips of the papers along with Ink Sprays and for some sparkle I added some Stampendous shaved ice to look like snow. Plus I used white puff paint around the Snow Queens neck.

Just love how this page turned out - exactly as I wanted with a cool wintery feel! Make sure you check out all the new items in the store which are being added regularly and remember as well as digis there are collage papers and patterned papers!

Toy & Working Dog Mail Art!

July 16th 2015

Here are 2 mail art envies I made for a swap with a little arty group I belong to!! I used 2 great sets of dog stamps from JessicaLynnOriginal! I just love how these came out - a lot of work but so worth the end result. All images were stamped with black onto the kraft coloured envelopes and then coloured with colour pencils - think I did an okay job!

You can find both the Toy Dog Set & Working Dog Set at the JessicaLynnOrignal Store!

Getting Ready for Xmas!

July 12th 2015

Another DT creation for the fabulous Tsunami Rose Store!!!!! I made a Pocket Letter about a week ago using the same paper set "Christmas Gift Printable Journal Kit" and today I have some decorated gift bags to share.

One of my favourite ways to use several co-ordinating patterned paper is to rip strips then glue them down to backing card to make backgrounds - quick and effective! The images are also from the paper pack as well as the little tags I added to the handles with string. The die cuts are Silhouette Files ust to finish them off.

I just love the colour combo - the brown and pale blue is perfect for the vintage style of this paper collage kit! The Summer Sale is still on in the Store so pop over to Etsy for a look and to take advantage of the sale!
