  • The Beach and Sunshine.....

    July 26th 2018

A quick little tag using a new digi by Vera Lane Studio - one of the gals from the new "Beach Club" set! I used double mini tags which I dry embossed and ink sprayed! Beach girl was coloured with Copic markers and added to the tag with some washi and muslin cloth plus the "sunshine" wording! Cute!!!!

    Girls Night Out.....

    July 25th 2018

A fun collage page put together for Sandra's B'day celebrations for the month of July at the Facebook Group! Digi stamp by Sandra Caldwell and available at her Etsy store!

I've used patterned paper layered on the page background. I printed the digi on Kraft paper and fussy cut and added to the page. Something simple - no colouring in - unusual for me LOL and a quick but effective background and different colour scheme!!

    Sew Nice.....

    July 24th 2018

Rick St Dennis has some fabulous "Kawaii" inspired digi stamp sheets available now in his Zibbet store - great value for a sheet of multiple digis!!

This "face" is "Doddii"  - there are so many faces to colour, fussy cut and create with! I've added this face to a collage dress form by Art Tea Life - as you know my fav collage store - you can find this sheet of dresses in the Etsy Store. Page background is washi tape and "sewing" with my machine plus added braid, buttons, lettering and muslin cloth - so much fun to create this page!!

    My Boyfriend's Back.....

    July 23rd 2018

Having some fun with a song that popped into my head when I was merging these digis from Vera Lane Studio! "My Boyfriend's Back and You're Gonna be in Trouble!!"

I added the coloured image to a mixed media background page in one of my journals. Digi printed on linen finish card so the copics don't blend so well but I always love the effect anyway!!

I'm entering this in the current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge "C is for Colouring"!!!

    July 12th 2018

Fab new Steampunk themed rubber stamps available now at the Blank Page Muse Stamps Store - a "Hybrid Bird Man" and a "Vintage Steampunk Man with Wings" - both available in 2 sizes.

I stamped these 2 characters onto linen finish card and coloured with copic markers and fussy cut ready for adding to the journal pages. Backgrounds are a mixture of old book pages, paint, inks, embossed card, stencils and texture paste, other Blank Page Muse rubber stamps, washi, metal embellishments, muslin cloth and probably more LOL!!! I also added torn "definitions" from a thesaurus - love using words and info from dictionaries, thesaurus' and encyclopaedias - always adds interest!

Sharing creations with two new sets of digis available from the Vera Lane Studio Etsy Store - a new range of gals "Filles de la Mode"!!

This is "Amilie" on a mixed media journal page background - I added lots of bits & pieces to this background including patterned serviettes, inked paper towel, paint and other scraps left over from other creations! These gals are fabulous as there images partially coloured like these below and then a completely blank one for you to add your own colour theme!

Here's "Elodie" - just love her long hair and flowers! As you can see she is also available partially coloured - half collage half digi - perfect for any occasion! I had some very pink coloured mixed media tags created - just waiting to be adorned by this sweet image along with some lace look stickers, muslin and fibre! Each set comes with it's own quote as well!

    July 9th 2018

Playing along at the Take a Word Blog again this week for their "Childhood Days" theme and what is more perfect than a "boy and his dog" just hanging out together!!

I'm also entering this in the current 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Blog where all challenges are required to feature a "critter" - Carlos the dog is perfect!! LOL

These two pals are "Doggy fish" and his best dog mate "Carlos" LOL cute digis by Vera Lane Studio!!

Digis coloured with copics and fussy cut and added to a page in my mini journal (ATC size). the whole background was covered with washi tape and I computered generate the wording and printed out. Just love these two guys!! I love dogs so I should really have done "a gal and her dog" - that's an idea!!

    Happy Day Llama **NEW STAMPS**

    July 8th 2018

So much fun a brand new set of rubber stamps by Pam Bray Designs available now at Blank Page Muse - "Happy Day Llama"!! A fabulous stamp set - very versatile - good for lots of creations and occasions!

Remember if you use the CODE: Summer2018Sharon you will receive 15% off each item you order - valid to 31st August 2018 - too good to miss!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 creations to share today - a mixed media tag and journal page - all stamps are part of the Llama set - great to have images, sentiments and background/scenery stamps all in the one set!

I had a lot of fun creating this mixed media tags and I was so happy with how the ink sprays "ran" and created such a bright and colourful background. I love using old book pages as my base and it always adds interest and texture when some of the writing shows through like it has here! Stamp coloured with Copics. "Hello" is also a stamp in the set and edged with a pink Posca pen. A bit of hessian at the bottom and string at the top to finish it all off!

I love working in my smaller journals (4 x 6 inches approx) and this standing Llama from the set was the perfect size for this page! Background is ink sprays and texture paste through a stencil PLUS I used the "cloud" stamp from the set to randomly add some light and texture to the background - embossing ink pad with white embossing powder - always looks effective! imag once again coloured with Copics and fussy cut and the "Hi" is another from the set! Added some washi tape and hessian to finish this page off.

Well worth popping over to Pam's Blog (the stamp designer) to check out her fab creations and some links to the other DT members blogs with Llama creations - who can resist a Llama stamp???

And make sure you check out these links for lots of Blank Page Muse inspiration, fun, new release info and much more!!!

Hug A Panda at Oddball Art Stamps....

    July 7th 2018

I'm guest designer at Oddball Art Stamps Blog this month and if you pop over to the Blog today you can see how I made these altered tags with Image No. 226 Chubs the Panda!

I love the colour on these tags made with paper towel used for "mopping up" excess ink sprays. Added dots for the "Dots & Doodles" theme for the month!! Make sure you get a creation done for the challenge!!!

    Half Rat Power.......

    July 2nd 2018

LOL what a fab theme for this fortnight's challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge Blog "Over the Hill"!!!!!! And what a perfect creation I have to enter this challenge!!! "Miss Dee" (by Vera Lane Studio) is feeling "Over the Hill" today and running at half rat power LOL you can tell she's only half made it onto the altered index card!!!!!!

This 6 x 4 index card was used to "mop up" excess product from making other things - which is normal for me - never waste anything! Added some other bits & bobs and of course Miss Dee with the computer generated wording. I have to confess Miss Dee is only half on the page because I had a glitch with my printer and that is all that printed out so I decided to utilise her anyway and this was perfect!

    Fly.....

    July 2nd 2018

Sharing a "winged" creation today for the Take a Word Blog's theme of "Wings "(on Anything)"!

I've altered a 3 x 5 index card with a colour theme of silver & blue and used collage elements from Gecko Galz. I just love the "Tattoo Girls" sheet the main image is from - love the vintage feel. butterflies are also from a Gecko Galz collage sheet.

I used blue and silver paint on the background along with a line stamp with silver embossing powder. Added some fancy silver embossed patterned paper, lace, silver corner charms, silver twine and the main image with butterflies. To finish off I added silver letter stickers "fly".

Oddball Art Stamps: Dots & Doodles Challenge!

    July 1st 2018

I'm lucky enough to be Guest Designer at Oddball Art Stamps Blog this month for their "Dots & Doodles" themed month! Today is the start of this months challenge and I am sharing how I made my dotted background altered index card! make sure you visit the blog to see what the DT have created and to get your entry in for this month!

I started with a 6 x 4 inch index card - I have the "lined" cards but the lines showing through on creations never bothers me - it adds to the texture and uniqueness - plain card works just the same!!!!

Use an embossing pad and some "circle" rubber stamps - I had this little pack of 4 sized circles by Hero Arts which worked perfectly. I stamped each size randomly over the background with the embossing ink.

Next add white embossing powder and heat emboss. White embossing always looks great!

I wanted a cool wintery look to use with the Oddball Art Image I chose for this creation so I grabbed a few different shades of blue and a grey and used a sponge to cover the card.

Last thing to add to the background was a "doodled" border using a black pen. LOL just scribble!!

I coloured the Image Number 393 Big Eye Peggy Sue with Copic markers. She's all rugged up for Winter because here in Australia it is winter!!!!

I fussy cut the Big eye gal and cut out the wording ready to add to the index card along with some hot pink ink sprayed muslin cloth, some metal corner charms and some washi tape also in hot pink (my fav colour)!!

Once everything was arranged I started gluing it all onto the card!

All finished and in keeping with this months theme! Hope you like it! Make sure you check out the Oddball Art Stamps store so you can create and play along at the challenge this month! And thanks ot Oddball Art Stamps for having me as Guest DT!!
