Michelle Perkett Studio "Spring Stamp"

June 4th 2011
I just love this image from Michelle Perkett Studio!

This little round gift card has been made using the sketch from Mojo Monday. And I have used various coloured Bazzil Cardstock, rbbon and paper flower embellishments. It's just a simple little card but I think the image is so lovely that it doesn't really need anything else!

Little Re'a'd Riding Hood

June 4th 2011

I must be on a bookmark making spree at the moment LOL - here's another one! But I have to say bookmarks are always very handy and I'm an avid reader so they never go astray in my house!

This little bookmark has been made for the latest challenge at Karber Digital Images which requires you to use a Karber Digi plus your scraps! I'm having fun with my old book page scraps lately so decided to make a torn background for the Little Red Riding Hood image and then added the "wording" under the image. Some ribbon and fibres scraps have been attached to the top of the bookmark to 'finish' it off!

Chloe Tag Pyramid Box

June 3rd 2011

This is a little pyramid box I made using a template from Mirkwood Designs which I cut out and covered with gorgeous Japanese Washi paper before I folded it into the pyramid shape. I love the rich colour of this paper! I added some ribbon and fibres to the top of the box and used some of the fibre to attach the little Chloe tag. This super cute image is from CS Designs and is named "Chloe and her PrincessWand".

I'm going to enter this in the new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge Blog as I have used at least 3 elements from their "Itinerary" which are - scraps, not a card and bling!

This would make a great little gift box filled with some goodies for a cute little girl or "party favour" boxes!

Here Comes the Bride!

June 3rd 2011
This is my entry for the new challenge at Vicki's The Cheerful Stamp Pad Blog this week "A Special Reason".

I made this gorgeous Bridal themed creation for a challenge at the Bella Creations Community and thought it would be perfect for this new challenge!

The images are from June at Dezinaworld. And I have used some lace to edge the oval shape, some textured papers, a ribbon rose and a little charm to finish it off!

I love to make wedding/bridal creations especially in the vintage style.

Blog Candy!! NOW CLOSED

June 1st 2011
Okay I told myself when I started my blog on the 1st Janaury this year that when I reached "50" followers I would have some Blog Candy to give away to a lucky follower! And I now have 57 followers and it's the 1st of June so now is the time to offer some candy!

So here's my candy:

As you can see my candy includes some beautiful embossed and patterned papers, vintage photos, fibres, brads, charms and other embellishments, some unmounted stamps and other goodies!

In order to be eligible to win my candy you need to do the following:
1. You must be a follower of course!!!
2. You must post my candy on your Blog with a link back here to encourage others to join in (putting it on your sidebar is okay or wheerver you like LOL)
3. You must leave me a comment here so I know you want to be in the running for the candy

This will run until the end of the month and then I will randomly draw a winner from those who have followed the 'rules'!!

And I will post to whoever in the "world" wins!!

Words are Cheap!

June 1st 2011
Another post for today - LOL I've been having a creative day and making a few collage type cards and things.

This bookmark has been made for the new challenge at the Three Muses Blog who's theme is "The Written Word".

I couldn't resist using this new image from one of the Octopode Factory's collage sheets - Charlie Chaplin! The "elephant images" were some recent freebies from June at Dezinaworld! And I've used torn bits of book pages to add some written word elements! The "quote" is one I found when I did a search of quotes by Charlie Chaplin! And to finish the bookmark I have added some fibres to the top! Everything has been glued to a piece of black card.

Marilyn's Turned "Punky"!!

June 1st 2011

I've just found a wonderful blog "52 Starlets Art Challenge" where each week a "starlet" is "announced" by AJ and you can enter using any form of design/artwork. It's actually week 3 and the starlet for this week is Marilyn Monroe so I thought it would be fun to join in this week (LOL even if I'm 2 weeks late)!

Here's my artwork for this week:

I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do for this but decided to start by checking out some of Marilyn's Quotes! And when I saw this one "Give a Girl the right Shoes and she can Conquer the World" I knew I had a gorgeous Steampunk sheet from June at Dezinaworld with punky shoes!! So how could I resist turning her into a Steampunk Starlet complete with top hat!

I hope you like her and I'm looking forward to next week's "starlet"!! I might have to try and "catch up" and made something with the "starlets" from Weeks 1 & 2!
