Altered Playing Card Art Dolls...

May 23rd 2018
Still sharing creations made some time ago!! These are altered playing card made for a swap in an Aussie Group I belong to.

Collage elements on this knitting themed altered card are by Art Tea Life.

This altered playing card uses collage bridal head by Dezinaworld. I added digital paper and ribbon and lace plus a little heart charm and some pearls to suit the bridal theme.

Just Giggle!

May 5th 2016

Just for a bit of fun and to enter the current Monochrome Challenge at the Cardz 4 Guyz Blog!!

I've used a multitude of  bits & pieces from a little box of cut out collage images! Main image is "#45 Mr Mann" digi by Sandra Caldwell printed on kraft paper and fussy cut. And he has been "embellished" with a flowery hat and steampunk wings by Dezinaworld plus a little birdie and star want by Lisa's Altered Art along with a Beach sign from Art Tea Life and the fish was a freebie from Freubels Freebies LOL so much to see! Background index card was covered with torn book pages, texture paste, stencil & ink sprays. To finish off some washi tape in bottom corner, corner charm at the top, ink sprayed muslin and the giggle tag with added letters above - the aim of this card is to "Just Giggle"!!!!!!!

Learning to Fly

September 16th 2012
I made these 4 ATC's using gorgeous images from Lisa's Altered Art and backgrounds from Dezinaworld.

This first ATC is a "reminder" for our Love 2 Learn Challenge at Wicked Wednesday - this gorgeous tot is learning to fly!!!!

And the rest of the "set" use more "butterfly kids" along with various embellishments! Aren't they cute?

Going Batty!

August 26th 2012

I've made this 4 x 4 for the current challenge at Smudgy Antics "Itsy Bitsy Spider" - the idea is to turn a Nursery Rhyme into something more spooky!!! I've used a Nursery Rhyme from my "Mother Goose" Nursery Rhyme Book which I got in 1971 when I was 3 years old - I've never been able to part with this book!!

TO THE BAT
Bat, bat, come under my hat.
And I'll give you a slice of bacon;
And when I bake, I'll give you a cake,
If I am not mistaken.

Masked woman and hat images are from June at Dezinaworld and I've added some bat punchies!

Gear up for Christmas!

June 29th 2012
I haven't joined a Less is More challenge for quite some time so when I saw their current challenge "Paper Piecing" I decided to make a card as I haven't done any piecing for quite some time.

I purchased a new christmas image from Smeared Ink "Steampunk Sugarplum Fairy" and decided she was perfect to Paper Piece. She was printed directly onto my base card along with a Steampunk Font Christmas Greeting. I paper pieced her dress, shoes, goggles and star with a Steampunk Background design from Dezinaworld. Background card is a metallic white card so it has a nice shine - perfect for christmas celebrating!!

Let the Music Move You!

June 6th 2012
Our new music themed challenge this week at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Blog and we have yet another great sponsor Kenny K and as always your chance to win an image!! You have a week to get your entry in! Don't forget to check out the other DT member's blogs for some fantastic inspiration!

I've used a funky Kenny K "Rock Chick" image to make my grungy "punk Rock" style ATC!! The background is from Dezinaworld and I added the "punk rock" wording with little individual alphabet stamps. Image coloured with Copic Markers.

What a Beauty

June 2nd 2012

Our new So Artful Challenge for the next fortnight is "Flower Power" OR the colours of "Red, Yellow & Green". I've made this little 4 x 4 using a beautiful image from Dezinaworld, some coloured card/papers and a flower sticker and lettering. As always we would love to see your creations!

Vintage Tag

May 7th 2012
The Cheerful Stamp Pad's new challenge has one of my favourite themes for a challenge - "Vintage Images" and you are also required to make a "Tag"!!

Here's my tag using a gorgeous "Gypsy" image from a great collage sheet from June at Dezinaworld along with some patterned & textured papers, little tiles to spell "DREAM" plus a little gold charm.

No Matter How Long the Winter Spring is Sure to Follow

May 5th 2012
Our "Spring Fever" challenge at Wicked Wednesday still has a few days left and we would love to see your Spring ATC's. The ATC below was made entirely of images from Dezinaworld - I love the effect of the bird's tail running off the bottom of the ATC.

Totally Gorjuss!!

May 4th 2012

I just couldn't resist playing along in the new Smudgy Antics Challenge "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and using one of the new Smeared Ink images I recently purchased " Virginia Monster Heart" - this gal really has attitude so I've had some fun with this creation!! The background "jail cell" image is from Dezinaworld and has been recoloured pink.

Don't you agree she is "Gorjuss"??

Believe in Yourself!

April 23rd 2012
Some more inspiration for our Anything Goes Challenge at Art With No Boundaries - please remember to read our rules before linking up your creation!!

I've used another great Solitaire image from CS Designs - Mysterious Butterfly along with some cute little butterfly graphics from Dezinaworld. The sentiment is also from CS Designs.

This is also perfect for the new Macabre Monday Challenge at the Haunted Design House Blog "Eye Can See You" as the Mysterious Butterfly Solitaire image is all about the "eyes" - they really stand out behind the mask & I've used bold colours to give a bit of a "Gothic" look - I like a bit of darkness in my creations every now and again!

I like the clean look of this card with the red/white/grey & black. And becasue I have used the "Butterfly" masked Solitaire image and butterfly graphics I am also entering this card in the new Our Creative Corner "Butterflies" Challenge. I think the metamorphasis from caterpillar to butterfly is truly a miracle and I love this butterfly quote:

If nothing ever changed
There'd be no butterflies.

Celebrate a Wedding or Anniversary

April 21st 2012

A brand new inspirational challege at the So Artful Blog - Weddings/Anniversary with optional colour theme of Red, Burgundy & Green.

We hope you can join us this fortnight for our new challenge!

Take a Word - "Skinny"

April 9th 2012
This week's theme at Take a Word is "Skinny" a 3 x 5 inch creation!!

I've used a gorgeous Asian image from June at Dezinaworld along with Japanese papers & a little gold coin charm.

This is what we may all look & feel like at the end of the Easter Weekend!!!

I've used a "Stitchy Doll" image from Smeared Ink with a nest & egg images from a great collage sheet from Dezinaworld.

I'm entering this in the current Smudgy Antics EGGstatic Challenge!

Egg on my Face!

April 2nd 2012

A perfect theme this week for the Take a Word Challenge Blog - "Eggs"! My collage creation is not about Easter Eggs though LOL!!

I've used images from collage sheets from both Lisa's Altered Art & Dezinaworld plus some amazing textured fibres!

I'll fly away with egg on my face!

Vintage "Moos"!!!

January 23rd 2012

What a fantastic theme for this week's Take a Word!!! I had a great time with these fiddly little moos and some Dezinaworld images and a few embellishments!

Shades of Blue!

January 22nd 2012

A quick reminder email to let you know you still have another week to enter the colour challenge at the So Artful Blog - Carla has some great inspiration pictures on the blog which you can use for your creation or you can use any other designs you have yourself. I've made this very blue card using images and backgrounds from June at Dezinaworld. The little flowers and leaves are from a new die cut I recently purchased.

Birds of a Feather!

January 16th 2012
A great theme for Vicki's new challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad!

I've made a tag for this new challenge which uses great "bird" images from June at Dezinaworld. The tag background is very simple - Distress Ink Stamp Pads direct to the card - I used five different colours. To finish off the tag I've added some textured fibres to the top!

We hope you can join in and look forward to seeing your creations of "Birds of a Feather"!

New So Artful Colour Challenge!

January 14th 2012
A great new challenge at the So Artful Blog for this fortnight - two colour choices with some great "pictorial" inspiration so make sure you head over and check it out and get creating! We always love to see what you can come up with using wither the colours stipulated or the inspiration photos!

This fortnight I've chosen to use the "blue" theme - not a colour I usually created with but the gorgeous woman on my tag was from a brand new sheet from Dezinaworld and I couldn't resist finding some blue papers, braid, embellishments and fibres!
