Wow I cannot believe I haven't shared these index cards I made for the Monthly Art Journal Facebook Group LAST YEAR!!!  I used index cards instead of doing pages in my journal. I have used digi images by Sandra Caldwell to "match" the country that was the theme each month. All digis were printed direct to the index card and I added the country name and any other wording at the same time.

The Tinkers.....

A creepy cute pair of fairies from Vera Lane Studio "The Tinker Sisters"!!

 

I've used them both in one of my journals. page background is masking tape and acrylic paint - I like the effect and texture. the Tinkers were coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and I added some gold stars, bit of muslin cloth and the letter stickers "wish"!

This month I am guesting at the MHK Designs Blog and I have created a few inspirational projects for the April challenge! Below is the "inspiration" photo for you to create for the challenge! Don't have any MHK Designs digis or patterned papers? Pop over to the Etsy Store and nab something!

Today I am sharing some altered collage index cards and later in the month I have a journal page to share as more inspiration for the challenge!!

 

I have a set of altered index cards using digis from the "Butterfly Wisdom Digi Stamp Set" along with papers from the "Worn & Weathered Pink Set" - gorgeous soft tones and perfect for my inspiration creations!

I used lots of layers of the pattern papers along with the butterflies and quotes plus a few little added embellishments! I love to create with pinks LOL!!

"Giggles"

This is "Giggles" the clown - creepy cute clown by Vera Lane Studio!!! You can grab this 4 digi set from the Etsy Store - part of the "Dark Corner" Collection where the images are a bit creepier LOL!!

 

Background was a mop up from a Gelli Print "run", added washi tape strips and some sewing machine stitching then the fussy cut pastel pencil coloured "Giggles" and the computer generated wording to finish off!

Wisdom....

My entry for this months Blog Challenge at Some Odd Girl with a theme of "Pop it Up!" - LOL I've "popped" the owl digi up with 2 layers of mounting tape!

Base card is a 6 x 4 index card I added blobs of water colour paint to, spritzed with water and used my brayer to spread and blend it all out over the card. Then added coloured texture paste through a leaf stencil along with a scrap of hessian, some feathers and "wisdom" word. Owl whoch was coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut was mounted onto everything!!

Caroline's Cupcakes...

Sharing my DT creations for this week for Vera Lane Studio with the new release set "Caroline's Cupcakes"!

Firstly I have altered an index card and renamed Caroline "Violet Beauregarde" from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - LOL this one was so much fun to colour in these hues with my pastel pencils! Index card background is watercolour paints plus coloured texture paste through a stencil. Image was fussy cut and added with a piece of ink sprayed muslin cloth along with the computer generated wording!

 

My next altered index card has more traditional colours - PINK - of course!! Background is ink sprays, texture paste, stencil, paint, tissue paper and washi tape. I added the "sweet" letters to the top. Such a fun set to create with for this week.
