I created this altered collaged index card for the current Some Odd Girl "Nothing Square" Blog Challenge!
I used a paper pack and matching elements from Kaisercraft - a perfect match for this gorgeous image "Tropical Piper" by Some Odd Girl! Image printed on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils. Added a bit of hessian and scrap of cloth. love how it turned out!

Wisdom....
March 26th 2017
My entry for this months Blog Challenge at Some Odd Girl with a theme of "Pop it Up!" - LOL I've "popped" the owl digi up with 2 layers of mounting tape!
Base card is a 6 x 4 index card I added blobs of water colour paint to, spritzed with water and used my brayer to spread and blend it all out over the card. Then added coloured texture paste through a leaf stencil along with a scrap of hessian, some feathers and "wisdom" word. Owl whoch was coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut was mounted onto everything!!
You can find this gorgeous digi at the Some Odd Girl Store along with all their other great range of digis and stamps!

Don't Go Breaking My Heart...
February 6th 2017
A cute page in one of my journals for the current challenge at the Some Odd Girl Blog!!! I used the "twist" too which was a heart/valentine/pink inspiration. I used the digi "All Wet Cat" available in store - such a cute image.
Page background was left over paints, plus some texture medium mixed with acrylic paint through a stencil. Cat digi coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and added to page with some muslin/cheesecloth. I added a white wavy border to one side of the page plus some pink heart themed 3D stickers to the kitty and page corner. Wording is computer generated.
I had a lot of fun with this page and love how it all turned out!

Singing in the Rain....
January 2nd 2016
It's certainly not raining here - it's the opposite!
This is a journal page I made last year using a bird digi from Some Odd Girl . Background is acrylic paint with some Tim Holtz tissue paper added. I used a credit card and white paint to try and make "rain". Digi coloured with Copic markers and I perched them on a chipboard branch then added the letters for "Singing in the Rain"!

A Swashbuckling Adventure........
October 2nd 2015
What a great "Nautical" theme we have for our October RAQ (Reader's Art Quest) at the Unruly Paperarts site!!!!! I just loved creating this journal page in my A4 size journal with a great Pirate Gal image from Some Odd Girl! I used Silhouette files to cut out the ship and Jolly Roger skull and the anchor stencil.
I found the pirate/treasure digital image at Etsy and used that on my page too along with some paint, texture paste and other bits & pieces!
We would love to see your nautical inspirations linked up to this months RAQ - as always at there is a "mood" board and colour theme that you can use of just be inspired by the picture!!

A fun theme and one that I'm sure you all have images for - Coffee & Cream is the theme for our Reader's Art Quest at the Unruly Paperarts Site!!
Gorgeous "Coffee Piper" digi stamp is from Some Odd Girl - they have some great quirky images I love creating with! The coffee "java" mug, photo corners and flowers are from Latte Dah Designs Etsy Store - these elements were just perfect for my card.

Colour My World!
August 17th 2015
I'm trying to catch up on posting my creations here on my blog - I have been sharing them in the FB Groups they have been made for and then not getting time to post here - but I am rectifying that by setting up lots of scheduled posts!

This journal page was made using watercolour paints on the black page and "swooshing" around with my finger to blend the colours along with a bit of white Gesso. The beautiful exotic girl is a gorgeous digi from Some Odd Girl - perfect for my page and my wording and the colours I wanted to use. The theme of the challenge I made this for was "water" so I used watercolours!
Beehive : the Latest Fashion Statement!!
August 4th 2015
I made this double page spread in my mini journal for a challenge at the Some Odd Girl FB Group - I just love the SOG Stamps - great to colour and create with!
Bee cut on the Silhouette, printed the wording myself and cut out. Pages backgrounds - gesso, paint, sprays with some sticky mesh and I stamped the "1960" date. Great to make a fun page!

Some Odd Girl PINK Card
May 31st 2015
Having some fun with my Some Odd Girl digis which I haven't played with for awhile so with this card I've joined the "Pink" challenge at the FB Group - why not join in if you have stamps from Some Odd Girl - they have been having a challenge each day for the past week - LOL I'm trying to keep up!!!
Mixed media background for this card including spray inks, texture paste, muslin, flowers etc. Lots of pink!!! And I love the image - they have some great "portrait" images which I seem to favour the most.
Mini Some Odd Girl Card
January 23rd 2011
The last mini challenge for Some Odd Girl's Birthday is to make a mini card ie 3 x 4 inches or smaller. I've used my Kaylee image again as she was already printed out so it was quick for me to colour her and make this little card which is a bit smaller than 3 x 3 inches as I work in centimetres!

Some Odd Girl "Odd" Elements
January 22nd 2011
I've just put together another card using a Some Odd Girl Digi Stamp. This challenge for their 1st Birthday Anniversary invloved using at least 3 of the "odd" elements listed on the Challenge Blog. I chose to use a "shaped card" (ie not square or rectangle), organza ribbon, the colour orange and layers (at least 4 - LOL I think I have about 7 layers!). Anyway here's what I've put together! Some Odd Girl have such cute images.

1 Digi 3 Ways
January 22nd 2011
Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps are celebrating their one year anniversary and one of their challenges is to use a digi 3 ways. I have chosen to make a card and to make a gift bag plus a tag all using the same digi stamp "Kaylee". I love working with pink and as you can see these are quite pink!

Pillow Box
January 14th 2011
The challenge for this fortnight over at 'Some Odd Girl' Digi Stamps Challenge Blog is "Let's Get Embossed"!! I have made a few embossed cards in the last few days so I decided that instead of another card I would make another "box" - and I have embossed a piece of light blue vellum to cut and fold into the pillow shape. The image I have used is from the Some Odd Girl Digi range - "Kiss a Prince Tia" - I guess she is hoping like crazy that the frog does turn into a prince!! I've also added some sheer ribbon, some heart punchies and a little Bead Queen Charm. Of course I have coloured Tia and her "prince" with copics and added a bit of "Smooch" to her shoes and dress and some clear stickles to her crown.

Gift Box
11th January 2011
Had a little bit of 'creative' time today (when I came home for lunch - shhh don't tell DH) and have made this little gift box out of Bazzill Cardstock, Embossed Vellum, a digi stamp by 'Some Odd Girl' and some ribbon, punches and a little moon shaped charm. I've taken a picture from the side as well so you can see the 'box' shape of it. Cute little box for a present for a little girl! I'm also going to enter this in the 'I Did It Creations Challenge' for this week which requires using 'vellum'. I have to admit I haven't used vellum for a loooong time so this was a good opportunity to get some off the paper rack and put it to good use. I have some nice thick vellum which goes through my Big Kick really nicely so I was happy with the effect.
This little box was published in the February 2011 Edition of the Scrapbook News & Review Online Magazine!
