Dog Family Greeting Cards

September 6th 2019

I'm so behind with posting creations on my blog! They've been shared at Facebook and some at Insta but I have a whole stack of things to share here so I'm going to start putting them up!

I love these "pooch" designs by Vera Lane Studio - and I love how colourfully the cards turned out! I don't normally do this sort of CAS style - I like more "things" on my creations but I do like these - especially because they are dog digis!!

Dogs on the Block....

May 20th 2018
One of my fav digi stap sets by Vera Lane Studio "Dogs on the Block"!!! Of course I love anything with dogs! Firstly I have a set of 4 made in CAS style with Kraft & Black colour combo and then below you will see a total opposite set coloured with copics and ink sprayed - still CAS style but with a lot more colour!! Both sets were donated to Dog charities for online auctions to raise much needed funds!

I used one of my favourite colour combos (Kraft & Black) to create these CAS style cards - CAS is not something I do a lot as I never seem to be able to make CAS style look right but I am happy with these!

And here are coloured cards - I really love how these turned out - they are such fun digis and perfect for these cards - I will certainly be using these images again and again!!

Sentiments on all of the cards are also by Vera Lane Studio - great mix & match sets!

Merry Woofness!!!

December 30th 2017
Still catching up on blog posts and xmas themed creations LOL!!!

A couple of cute little pooch CAS style xmas cards! Digi stamps are from Vera Lane Studio of course!!!! This cute little dog is from the Holiday Doodle Bundle - FAB value for this set of 16 digis!! Sentiment is from the North Pole set - love the style of the writing.

I coloured the dog digis with Copic Markers and fussy cut and added to a textured white card that I splattered with gold paint. I added a piece of gold washi for the dogs to sit on and added the sentiment underneath. Too cute!!!

Scatter Kindness.....

November 12th 2017

I'm over at the Sin City Stamps Blog with some quick and easy embossed cards and gelatos!! You can find all the supplies needed and instructions there along with other DT makes using the fab selection of Sin City Stamps!!

Make sure you check out the Sin City Stamps Facebook Fans Group too where you can share your creations and have some fun!

Big Love.....

January 6th 2016

As mentioned yesterday I am sharing another creation using one of the new release images from Sandra Caldwell "Big Love" - available here in the Etsy Store.

Journal background is fairly CAS style which is unusual for me - I has excess ink on a Tim Holtz Rays stencil and blotted it off on this page so all I added was the fussy cut elephant and stamped the lettering. And I have to say I keep typing 2015 instead of 2016 so this page relates to me!!

Noel!

December 17th 2015
A couple of quick and easy xmas cards using a new xmas digi from JessicaLynnOriginal!

I've done this style before - just swipe ink pads on your card  then rubber stamp or print a digi stamp on top, add a bow and that's it! A good way to use old ink pads and get the last bit of ink - some of these I used would be over 10 years old - they are nearly done!!!

As you can see any colours work for xmas - I like non-traditional so perfect!

Best Fishes for Xmas....

December 14th 2014
A quick & fun Xmas card made using an image from The Sailing Pineapple (no longer trading). Back ground is swiped ink pads and then the digital image and computer generated wording printed direct to the card.

Christmas Time Stamps from Gecko Galz

November 9th 2014
Sharing a couple of simple CAS style Xmas cards - a great way to make lots of cards in one sitting - perfect if you are running behind with creating your handmade cards this year!!

I always love the effect when I do cards this way and I do like to have a quick technique for creating cards at short notice!

These gorgeous images are from the November New Release digi images from Gecko Galz "Christmas Time Stamps" - they are very classy images to use.

Christmas is coming........

Fun Xmas Cards.....

October 23rd 2014

Made these quick & easy non-traditional cards with ink pads and JessicaLynnOriginal images!

This card uses Brentwood Owl which is available at the store as a "freebie" digi download so pop over & grab him!!!

And I just love this little Papillon comes from the Papillon Stamp Set - so cute!!

I added the wording myself with my printer - great xmas cards for animal lovers!!

I've made some CAS style cards with some of the flower images available! I've used linen finish card and my Copics to colour the images.

One Layered Love...

January 23rd 2014

Some CAS one layered cards using 3 great new release Valentine images from the Queen Kat Designs Store!

I know I always say I struggle with CAS cards but these images were perfect for a nice clean look and I printed them on Linen finish card which I think makes them look even better than just printing on smooth finish card.

Make sure you visit the Queen Kat Designs Store for all the new releases - there are so many different ones to choose & then you can make sure you are ready for Valentine's Day!

Eskimo Kiss...

December 22nd 2013
A reminder post for our Christmas and/or Winter themed challenge at the Just Some Lines Blog! You have until the end of December to enter but you must use a JSL image for our challenges - freebies are always available at the blog!

I have actually used 3 JSL images for my card - the cute little Eskimos plus the Xmas Trees plus the window Frame - LOL I thought I was very clever to put them all together to make my little window scene! The "Merry Christmas" word art I did on the computer. Background is stamp pads swiped directly onto the card.

Smudgy Inky Cards..

August 29th 2013

Today my QKD creations are some quick but effective cards I made by just swiping ink pads across the page and then printing the images and sentiment onto the card! Sometimes you need to get a card made in a hurry and this is a great way to get one done!!!

The images I have used are designs by Lea Barozzi which are available at the Queen Kat Designs Store. I love these images - "Little Snow Fox" & "Sophie" - they are quirky and I love anything that is a bit other than the norm!!

Each day at the QKD Blog there is always some inspiration from the other DT members so make sure you check out what they are creating as well!!

Michelle Perkett CAS Cards

July 2nd 2013
LOL I do struggle with CAS and all that white space!!! But I decided to make some CAS style cards with these new designs from Michelle Perkett. Images and sentiments were printed directly onto some linen finish card and coloured with Copic Markers.

This birthday card uses a brand new "cake" image from Michelle - such a great image!!

And this one is perfect for that guy who loves to fish!

It's a Good Day...

April 29th 2013

Here's my card for the current Just Some Lines "Earth Day" Challenge! I've used 3 different JSL images - the border, the sentiment and cute little Jessie and made a bit of a CAS style card! Happy Earth Day!!!

For a Child

April 17th 2013

This card is for the current challenge at the Just Some Lines Blog - I feel bad as I haven't had time to enter their last few challenges so made a big effort to get a card made for this challenge! I used a watercoloured ATC I made some time ago and mounted it onto the base card which I had printed the "Little Bird" Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme on - a perfect rhyme for this image I thought! I guess it's a bit of a CAS style card.

Guess Whoooooo?

April 12th 2013

Time for a brand new challenge at Movie Magic Monthly and what great movies we have for inspiration this month:
"Harry Potter" vs "The Lord of the Rings"

You can find some great inspiration at the blog from the other DT members and remember you have a month to enter so let's see what you can come up with!

My card uses some great "owl" images from a wonderful collage sheet by Lily at The Octopode Factory, a die cut branch and gret sentiment from Smeared Ink!
