I cannot believe I completed all 61 days of the recent Index Card a Day Challenge - I'm very proud of myself - so I'm finally going to start showing them all on my blog!! Lily Chilvers "The Octopode Factory" Memorial Blog Hop

Today we are remembering Lily Chilvers a truly beautiful artist and soul taken from us too soon.

To honour Lily we are sharing projects we have made in her memory using the wonderful, whimsical and wacky art she shared with us all.

Here is a journal page I have made especially for this hop with a gorgeous "Pierrot" image from her store.

Don't cry I have left the world a more beautiful place.

A new month and new Readers Art Quest at the Unruly Paperarts Site - "Manly" - and as usual we have the wording inspiration plus colour palette for you to choose what to be inspired by and then link up to share with everyone!!

Could not resist using these collage images from The Octopode Factory of Charlie Chaplin!!!

Went with a monochromatic colour scheme and added film elements cut using Silhouette files. I worked in my black page journal and added gesso and did some stencilling on the background prior to adding all the other bits and pieces. A fun page- who can resist a bit of a "dig" at the male species LOL!!!!!

September Steampunk!

I know you will think I am mad but these are not my "Kathryn Wheel" calendar pages for September this year they are my catch up ones from last year!!! I am a couple of months behind but I am so determined to finish the 2013 year and then make a start on this year - I didn't want to give up and I think that is important!

These pages have a Steampunk theme using fabulous images from Lily at The Octopode Factory - just perfect! I added die cut steampunk gears to the background of my pages before I painted the pages. I stamped "September" down one side of a page. The quote stamp is from a Tim Holtz set and I thought it suited the little "punky" characters who all look very inventive LOL!

I went with a Steampunk theme so I could enter the Punk You Girl Challenge for this month - a great theme and one which I haven't "played" with for awhile!
