Steamy Pocket Letter...

December 9th 2017

Sharing a mixed media "Steampunk" Pocket Letter made for a swap and also to join the current "I is for Industrial" challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog!!!!

Collage "steampunk" digis are by Gecko Galz "Industrial Digital Stamps" - just love them and they were perfect for this pocket letter! Always so hard to photograph pocket letters with the shiny pockets!

I made the background with steampunk gears cut on my Cameo and adhered to a black card background. I added lots of metallic sprays and paints and then cut the 9 x ATC's to size for the pockets. Gecko Galz images were printed on kraft coloured paper and fussy cut and added to the backings with bits of muslin cloth and charms. I really love the colours and how it all turned out!

Hmm I Choose You.....

April 24th 2017
A mini pocket letter made for a "Love" themed swap for an Aussie swap group I belong to. Papers and images are a mixture of Gecko Galz and a Valentine's collage sheet by Heather Hudson.

It's always fun to make a mini pocket letter - a bit quicker to make 3 ATC inserts than the full sheet of nine!! I used black card for the ATC bases and then cut patterned tags from the sheet by Heather to fit slightly smaller than the base and used my sewing machine to attach them. I added Heart/Love Bingo cards by Gecko Galz and the stunning Woman also by Gecko Galz (from the Tattooed Women Collage Set). A bit of muslin, paper clip, charm and string to finish it all off! I love the colour tones and how it all turned out. Of course the back pockets were filled with a tea bag and extra goodies for the recipient!

Masterboard Madness.....

March 9th 2017

Pop over to the Sin City Stamps Blog - it's my turn to share my latest creations using Sin City Stamps!! I used the stamps to decorate my painted card and use as backgrounds for the ATC's for the pockets of the sleeves!!

Collage images are from Lisa's Altered Art and are just perfect for decorating ATC's along with other little embellies you have in your stash!

And did you know that there is now a Sin City Stamps Fan Group - lots of fun and sharing of creations - make sure you join to stay updated with all the goings on!!!!!

Mini Halloween Pocket Letters....

October 30th 2016
Sharing 2 x mini pocket letters made for an Aussie Swap Group I belong to - with a Halloween theme of course for this time of the year!

This first one I am entering in the current Desert Islands Craft Challenge using the following items from their itinerary: green & black, Halloween sentiment, stripes, ribbon or twine - I have ribbon & twine on the spine of the pocket letter.

I started with a base ATC from black card and then cut up purple paint chip samples - perfect for a quick background of colour! Added green ink sprayed muslin cloth and images by Lisa's Altered Art. I added washi tape and the ribbon & twine to the plastic pockets.

The next mini pocket letter I did with an orange and black pumpkin theme - images again from Lisa's Altered Art and backgrounds done with black card and paint chip samples.

I am entering these ATC's in the current Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge with the theme of Witches, Bats & Black Cats - perfect for the little witches sitting in the carts!

Haunted Ladies Pocket Letter...

September 2nd 2016

I made this pocket letter for a swap for a little crafty group I belong to!! Theme was Autumn/Fall or Back to School - I went with Autumn colours and used my Gelli Plate for the first time after owning it for nearly 12 months and never had it out of the package LOL! The background pattern paper and paper doiley were printed with the Gelli plate. The collage "witches" are from a great sheet by Gecko Galz "Haunted Ladies" - they were just perfect - fiddly to cut out but perfect for the look I wanted!

I'm entering this in the Gecko Galz September Customer Challenge "Witching Hour" - a perfect fit for this month!

Here's the back showing the goodies in the pockets!!

Love & Loyalty Kit.....

February 25th 2016

Sharing a pocket letter made using the new "Love & Loyalty" Journal Kit available at the Tsunami Rose Etsy Store along with all the other amazing kits to create with.

Digi image above "Dusty" is by Sandra Caldwell and is available at her Etsy Store along with all of her other quirky designs!! Digi image coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut and adhered to the front of the pocket letter.

All patterned papers and add ons like the labels and tags are all from the kit and add on pack - so many to choose from - I've only used a small portion of what comes in the kit!! Some are so gorgeous I didn't want to cover the pattern with any other layers!

I added corner metal charms, muslin cloth, washi tape, skeleton leaves and string to complete this pocket letter!

Old Lady Present.......

January 25th 2016

Monday and time again for new releases at Sandra Caldwell's Etsy Store!!!!! We are never disappointed with Sandra's new designs - OMG always soooooo many to choose from and she always surprises everyone including the DT with images we haven't seen!! My Etsy Shopping Cart always has her digis waiting to be purchased LOL!

Today I am sharing a Pocket Letter made using "Old Lady Present" one of the new images by Sandra and gorgeous papers by Tsunami Rose! Plus I added embellies from my own stash, used my Silhouette to cut banner and wording from card printed with Tsunami Rose patterned pages and my sewing machine to sew all the ATC's in the pockets!

The pics above are to show each row of the pocket letter and a bit closer view of what I did in each pocket. Digi image coloured with pastel pencils and fussy cut as always! Added washi tape to the spine and some pink & red twine bows.

I still have to fill all the backs of the pockets with goodies - this will be swapped in February with an Aussie Pocket Letter swap group so it will have a new home to go to! Always enjoy making pocket letters!

A La Naturale....

November 30th 2015

Sharing a recently made pocket letter for an Aussie Pocket Letter Group Swap and it is also an inspiration post at the SLS Lines Blog as I used a great image from the SLS Lines Etsy Store along with some great nature digital papers also from the store!

The theme was "a la natural" - I loved how this turned out and my partner was really happy to receive it which is the most important thing!!

I used natural colours along with some soft natural greens, added matching washi tape to the spine with some twine. Hessian, skeleton leaves, muslin cloth, leaves and butterflies decorated the ATC's in the pockets. I coloured the digi Elf Girl with Copic markers, fussy cut her and adhered her to the front of the pockets.

Happy Halloween!

November 1st 2015

Yes it's already been Halloween here in Australia but a happy spooky day to everyone else celebrating!

We have a special blog post at SLS Lines to celebrate Halloween with some of the DT making an extra spooky creation for today!!

I've made a monster pocket letter with the cute monster set available at the SLS Lines Etsy Store!!! The picture at the top of the post was taken before I put them in the pockets to try and get a better picture without the glare of the plastic - directly above is in the pockets with some Silhouette cut outs added and washi tape on the spine and fibres to finish it all off!!!

Some close up pics of each row:

The background coloured card I made using a credit card and acrylic paint - love the colours. The little witches hats, pumpkins, cats and broomsticks and wording are from a Lisa's Altered Art Collage Sheet and was perfect for my little monsters!!!

Hope you all have a great day!!!
