Celebrate 2017...

A journal page made for a "fun" theme for a little Aussie Swap Group I am on at Facebook! I used my Gelli Plate to cover the background of the page. Added some black markings with an old credit card and lid. Added the letters "Celebrate 2017" and of course the Watercolour Clipart images which are available at Sal's SLS Lines Website - this Panda Bear Set is relatively new to the store and I couldn't resist buying it and creating!

Quick - Xmas is Coming....

A fun journal page created with a great digi image by Sheepski Designs @ Etsy. I made this opage for Andrea's (Sheepski) challenge at the Markers! Paper! Digis! Facebook Group - a Xmas Critters challenge using a Skeepski image.

As usual I couldn't just do a "normal" creation LOL - I had to use something "non-traditional" and make it xmassy!! So "Mel's Crow" by Sheepski was turned into a xmas bird - clipart xmas hat is from SLS Lines. Background uses Silhouette file die cuts, texture paste and stencil and ink sprays. Digi crow was printed in varying sizes and coloured with copics, fussy cut and the little xmas caps added.

A fun "non-traditional" Xmas challenge at the Delicious Doodles this month! LOL I've used the "3 Wicked Witches" image from Teri's Etsy Store and altered an index card. Naturally I couldn't do anything normal so had some fun with this image which I printed into kraft coloured paper and added xmas clip art caps by SLS Lines. Backing card is an altered index card which has been ink sprayed, texture pasted, washi tape and inked muslin cloth plus the computer generated wording - a bit of fun for the challenge. We look forward to seeing your entries!

I'm entering this in the November challenge at the Dream in Darkness Blog - these gruesome witches are just perfect!

Sharing a new image available at the SLS Lines Website - "Fantasy Angry Robot" - on an altered index card. Background card started as a mop up card with some excess paint I had from another creation and scraps of book pages. I added some coloured texture paste through a stencil and embossed the edges with a "cement" coloured embossing powder. I also embossed some left over silhouette cut outs and added to the bottom corner and added some metal nuts to the top of the card. Wording is computer generated. I coloured the robot with copics and fussy cut and he is mounted to the front.

Sharing a set of 3 mixed media index cards using digis from the Cute House Cat Set available at the SLS Lines store!! You can see more details at the SLS Lines Blog!!

Index card backgrounds were done on my gelli plate - having a lot of fun with that - finally LOL! Digis printed onto old book pages and coloured with pastel pencils - I love the effect - got the inspiration from a creation Corrie Herriman posted at Facebook.

 

I also added stamps, colouring with pastels, texture paste, washi tape and computer generated wording. Fun creations!

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.....

A new challenge at the SLS Lines Blog "Man vs Woman" - great theme and we can't wait to see how everyone interprets this!!! I've used a fantastic & fun image "Monsters in Love" LOL for my mixed media journal page! You can find so many quirky images perfect for this challenge at the SLS Lines Website!!

 

My page background is a combination of old book pages, patterned serviette, gesso & acrylic paint, stencil with texture paste plus computerised wording and the image coloured with copics, fussy cut and adhered to front!

Rock & Roll.....

Sharing a new release image for SLS Lines today "Guitar Rock Guy"!!

Firstly I've made an ATC for the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog for their theme of Rock & Roll - this image was just perfect! I've printed it directly onto some card I coloured with ink sprays, cut out and mounted onto an ATC sized backing. To finish it off I used my sewing machine for some added effect.

Next I've printed the image and wording onto an index card I had already done the background on. The card was used to mop up excess colour from other creations - always great to have a premade background to whip up a creation!

 

I love this image - it's sort of a silhouette and perfect for printing onto coloured backgrounds but if you check out the blog you will see it is great coloured too - it was a popular image for the DT to use - such a range of ways to use this!

A Storm in a Teacup....

A fun new challenge at the SLS Lines Blog - we want to see you create "Anything BUT a Card"!!!

I've created a mixed media double "tea" themed tag! I used the tickets off some teabags to create some texture in the background along with some gesso and pink paint. I used a Kaisercraft stap to add the effect of a cup sitting on the tag. Wording is computer generated and I added string and muslin cloth as well. Image is called "Teacup Monster" and is available HERE in the store!

Mad Knitter!

New release image by Sal of SLS Lines - a funny mad knitter LOL!! There are several new stamps this month so make sure you check out the SLS Lines Blog to see what the rest of the DT have created with these great digis - all available at the website!!

I've created a mixed media journal page using some scraps of knitted look digital papers I had printed out along with texture paste, stencil and ink sprays along with water soluble crayons. Collage knitting images are by Art Tea Life and were a perfect match for this digi!
