Shaken or Stirred???

November 21st 2013
A creation for QKD today using a great new image from artist Charles Bristow "Lorelei's Martini" !!

I had a great time creating this card and the digital patterned papers from The Digital Design Shop over at the Etsy site were just perfect for this creation - the papers also came with the little glass and olives clipart which just finished off the card perfectly! I used this months sketch from the CLP challenge blog to arrange everything on the card.

I'll be using this image again soon - probably a xmas creation next time!!!

Exotic Birthday...

August 20th 2013

I loved this image as soon as I saw it on the new Jewel It "Kitsch" Collage Sheet just released for this month at Gecko Galz. I teamed the image with patterned papers from the "Arabian Dreams" Digital Paper Pack also available from Gecko Galz. I love the richness of the colours and the beautiful patterns on the papers.

Card layout is based on this months sketch at the CLP Challenge Blog.

The Circus is in Town...

August 13th 2013

I loved making this card although it was time consuming with all the sewing but I always love the effect of the stitching! This fantastic circus themed image is from a new release collage sheet from Gecko Galz - "Kitsch Jewel It" Images. And the fabulous papers entitled "Life is a Circus" are just perfect for the image - I will certainly be printing off more of these digital papers. You can find the paper set which is also a new release for August at Gecko Galz as well!

I've used the current sketch for August from the CLP Challenge Blog to arrange all the elements on this card. I am also entering this in the August Sparkle N Sprinkle Colour Challenge.

Charcoal Grey & Pale Pink

July 6th 2013

My card today has been made with several things in mind - it's my Summer of Colour Creation for Week 4 with the colour combo of charcoal grey & pale pink and I have used a gorgeous Just Some Lines image for their Anything Goes Challenge along with the July Sketch from the CLP Challenge Blog!

Patterned papers are from SherryK's Etsy Store (she has some great digi paper packs). Just Some Lines image "Emo Amber and Pup" has been coloured with Copic Markers. I added some pale pink lace, buttons and Prima Flower as embellishments.

Dapper Dan

May 24th 2013

These 2 male themed cards use May New Release Digital Patterned Papers and Male Themed Collage Images from Gecko Galz! Each card uses the May Sketch from the CLP Challenge Blog. Sometimes it can be really hard to make masculine cards but not with these new products from Gecko Galz - I had a great time!!

Gecko Galz 30 Days of Valentine's Day!

January 24th 2013

Have you been checking the Gecko Galz site? The 30 days of Valentine's Day has started and a new card with instructions has been showcased each day! It's my turn today so make sure you pop over and check out the details!

My card uses patterned papers and digital image from the new January release collections which you can purchase so pop over and take a look - you can see the cards already showcased from the other DT members as well!
I almost forgot to link this up to the current challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow for their Tic Tac Toe Challenge - I used Lace & Ribbon & Pearls from the board (the middle row)!!
And I also remembered I used this months sketch from the CLP Challenge Blog to layout my card so have linked up there as well!!

A Traditional Red & Green Challenge!

November 24th 2011
Our new challenge at Art With No Boundaries is a colour challenge! Perfect for Xmas BUT you don't have to make a Xmas creation - it can be anything as long as it's red & green!!

I've made this card with a brand new CS Designs image "Priscilla's Winter Play Time" - Isn't she gorgeous?? And although here in Australia it's HOT at Xmas I still loved making this "wintery" image Xmas card.

I used  the November Challenge Sketch from the CLP Challenge Blog to "arrange" the elements on the card. I wanted to achieve a bit of a vintage type look hence the patterned papers with an aged look. I embossed a piece of green card with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and "wiped" it with a white ink pad.

NEW DESIGNS at CS Designs- Little Babushkas

April 7th 2011
LOOK LOOK LOOK!!!

Visit the CS Designs Store to see Chris' 7 NEW Little Babushkas!! Anastasia, Nikita, Anya, Olga, Pasha, Petra and Natasha are just to die for. These new designs are the most gorgeous images I have seen - I just LOVE them! And Chris has released them just in time for Easter.

Whilst you are visiting the CS Designs Blog make sure you check out all the information on the April Competition and Easter Hunt and the Great SALE Chris has for the month of April! Purchase some Little Babushkas and join our Easter Parade! I'm going to be 'showcasing' these little images this month so make sure you check back often!

The little "beauty" I have used on this card is "Olga" - isn't she gorgeous? I've made her using the paper piecing method I have just started playing around with. The design is using the new sketch for April from the CLP Challenge Blog which I have turned on it's side. I have used papers from my 6 x 6 'Capella' Paper Pad from BasicGrey. I wanted the card to look earthy and soft.

As you can see I've used my sewing machine to stitch all the elements onto the card and I've added lace, paper flowers and braid to finish it off! I also made the little sentiment "You're a Doll!"myself.

I've also entered this card in the new "sewing elements" challenge at the Creative Belli Blog. And Your Next Stamp Challenge Blog also have a 'sewing' theme!

CLP Sketch Challenge

January 8th 2011
I've had time for a bit of card making today so here is the card I have just finished making for the CLP Sketch Challenge for January. I've used one of my new Magnolia "Tilda" stamps for the first time on this card - isn't she gorgeous? The papers I've used on this card are from a new 6 x 6 pad I recently bought (Crate Paper Collection Kit Restoration Collection) - they are great because they are double sided and thicker than paper which was easier for sewing on my sewing machine. I've been meaning to "sew" some cards for quite some time now but kept putting it off - today was the day to try it out and I'm really happy with the result. The wording and little flowers are from a rub on sheet. (I've included a picture of the Sketch for the CLP challenge as well).
