Nothing "Fishee" Going On.......

May 20th 2016

A new challenge at the SLS Lines Blog with the theme of "Monochrome" - so lets see your shades of grey or shades of any other single colour - as you can see I've done shades of brown/earthy tones.

This is a page I "revamped" which I wasn't overlay happy with when I first did it last year - it was a bit dull but then it turned into the perfect background for this challenge theme with the addition of a few bits & pieces and of course the amazing SLS Lines "Cat" LOL!!!

You have a month to join this challenge so get out your SLS Lines images and get creating in your fav colour! A reminder that Sal has a new website but you can still nab images from the Etsy Store as well!

She'll Be Right Mate!

May 10th 2016

Sharing a new release image today for SLS Lines - check out the NEW website Sal has set up - Etsy Store still going too but lots of stuff at the new site!

Gotta love these sock monkies LOL!!! Coloured with Copics and I've "reused" a double journal spread I did last year as one of the Inspiration Wednesday lessons - decided I made it a bit dreary so this image was perfect to make it a bit more fun!

Check out the SLS Lines Blog for more new images and inspiration by the rest of the DT and to join our current challenge!!

Inspiration Wednesday #14

March 7th 2016

Mixed media background with stamping and the gorgeous "Fido" image is by Janet at Vera Lane Studio!!!

Inspiration Wednesday 11

August 30th 2015
Sharing another double page spread based on Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday Lessons I am doing online! Love these lessons - I'm a bit behind at the moment but plan to catch up soon!!!

I love the soft colours on these pages - I used Gelatos - sometimes I don't have exactly what is being used ion the lesson but I try to find something I already have and improvise!

Such pretty colours - I plan to do another page similar just so I can try the technique again!

Inspiration Wednesday Week 9...

August 3rd 2015

Sharing week 9 of my Inspiration Wednesday creations with Donna Downey! I'm actually a bit behind at the moment so I really need to make a big effort to catch up this week - just so many creations to do and so little time LOL!!!

I had to improvise a bit as I didn't have all the supplies for these pages but I am still fairly happy with how it has turned out. Love the "Bloom" gal stamp which I have for something else I am working on but it came in handy for this.

I like the softer colours and the messy style with the watercolours plus the bits of old book pages as well. A page I think I will try again at a later stage just to see if I can get it a bit more how I wanted!

Inspiration Wednesday Week 10

June 25th 2015

Another fabulous IW Lesson with Donna Downey! I love working with bits & pieces on hand and this collage style background was a perfect way to use up things I can't bear to throw away LOL!

I like the basic black & white theme plus I used a bit of cream paint on the top half as well. Really love how this turned out. Great to be trying more things out of the comfort zone!

Dream Always......

June 15th 2015

Sharing another of my Inspiration Wednesday creations (this is Week 8) - I am so loving these lessons by Donna Downey - great to be out of the comfort zone and great to be using some things I have had in my stash for quite some time and never been opened like these chipboard letters LOL!!!

I love this page - like the darker style colours I have used and the overall affect. I've done this as a single page as opposed to normally working in my smaller journal and doing double page spreads. Loved working on the bigger page for this style and the big letters. I look forward to each fortnightly Wednesday for the new lessons - always feel so inspired and creative after watching the videos!

Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday Week 5

May 3rd 2015

Another fun journal page spread from Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday lessons! This was such a fun lesson filled with texture big time LOL!!! Lots of creative techniques to try - I love how my pages turned out with the "sea" theme!! I'm having so much fun!

Sharing some more Inspiration Wednesday pages - wow I loved this Week 6 lesson - so much wonderful texture!!!!!! More out of the comfort zone creativeness - really if you haven't signed up you really should!!! I am just loving each lesson!!!!! Love the abstract style which I really haven't done before and I was really happy with the paint colours I chose!

The Roaring 20's Flappers.......

April 24th 2015

New release designs at SLS Lines - check out the SLS Lines Blog for lots of DT inspiration!

This double page journal spread is also my Week 7 Inspiration Wednesday creation from Donna Downey's lesson - having so much fun creating and working outside my comfort zone with these lessons!!

Patterned paper on the page backgrounds is from Gecko Galz and really suits the "Flapper" era! I made the "Flapper" stencil on my Silhouette. The 3 gals were coloured with Copic Markers, I added a peacock feather to match. Love how this turned out!

Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday Week 3

April 17th 2015
This is Week 3 of Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday - well my interpretation of the "lesson" - loved creating this page - so good to work outside the comfort zone!!

So much fun with paint, stencils, texture!! I look forward to each fortnight to see what the new "inspiration" will be!

Lost Coast Designs Blog Hop!

March 12th 2015

I'm joining the Lost Coast Designs Blog Hop which runs until the end of March and as you can tell it's a "50 Shades of Green" theme!!!! If you scroll to the bottom of my post you will see lots of wonderful Green Lost Coast Designs creations linked up to visit - I can't wait to get started "visiting" everyone!

I've made a double journal page spread "inspired" by one of Donna Downey's past Inspiration Wednesday Youtube Videos - I love how it turned out and I loved using one of the new rubber stamps I recently purchased from the LCD Store!!!

Loved getting my sewing machine out and sewing all of this "mess" of ribbon, lace and fringe onto my journal page! Had fun with getting painty fingers for the muslin/cheesecloth background. Overall a fun time had making these pages especially for the hop!!!!

Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday Week 1

March 6th 2015

I have so many posts to share and I keep forgetting to add them to my blog!!!!! This is my Week 1 "Inspiration Wednesday" journal page - am just loving these wonderful inspiration lessons from Donna Downey - soooo glad I nabbed these "classes"! I'm sharing my pages out of order but I'm just working my way through the "draft" posts in my list!

I made the stencils of my "name", the glasses and 2015 numbers with my Silhouette and added the texture paste - just love the effect of this! A great way to learn new techniques and get out of the "comfort" zone LOL!!!!!

My Donna Downey "Inspiration Wednesday" pages for week 4 - I'm really happy with how these turned out. I had this great new "nude" image just released in the SLS Lines Etsy Store & I couldn't resist incorporating her into the theme of my page - "I am Woman Hear me Roar!!!"

Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday Week 2

February 27th 2015

I am so excited to be playing along with the Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday for 2015 - I am so loving it and loving trying all the new techniques and ideas!

This is my double page spread for Week 2 - a lovely collage inspired spread and how could I resist using pink as one of the colours! I made this a few weeks ago so I gave it a "Love" theme and used a gorgeous little digi image from Sandra Caldwell available at the Sweet Pea Stamps Store!

The February challenge at the One Sweet Challenge Blog is one of "Love" so I am entering my journal pages in their challenge!
