Old Lady Ghoul....

Oh dear this creation was done middle of last year and I hadn't shared on my blog - obviously I am still catching up with creations from 2015!!!

This image "Old Lady Ghoul" is by Sandra Caldwell of course and I created this when Sweet Pea Stamps was still open - and of course now you can get Sandra's images from her Etsy Store!!

 

This is a page in my tony journal which I haven't worked in for awhile - background was done with some metal type paint and patina to age the look of it. "Tombstone" cut from a paint chip sample on the Silhouette. And I coloured the ghoul with copics and fussy cut. Just a quick simple page but I love it!

Yes still more makes from 2015!!! A Gabrielle Szabo image from a Sweet Pea Stamps challenge last year (sadly as you know Sweet Pea Stamps are now closed). This is a page in my black journal - background is ink sprayed greaseproof paper plus some Silhouette file cut outs, bit of mesh and fibre and a little butterfly to finish off! Digi image coloured with pastel pencils.

Yes another creation from 2015 - this was part of one of the progressive challenges at the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group - unfortunately Sweet Pea Stamps has since closed - they had some amazing artists and images/stamps!!!

This was such a cute image to create a journal page with - a sparkly fairy spreading her sparkle!!

Torn Paper or Edges...

A fun new challenge at Wicked Wednesday this week and as you can see from the title of my post it's to use torn paper or tear your edges!! A great sponsor "Sweet Pea Stamps" who are sadly closing down on the 25th November so take advantage of our challenge to win some images before it's too late!!! The image I have used is called "Mermaid with Round Fish" by Molly Harrison - so cute! I've used scrap torn paper that I use to blot when I use my ink sprays - perfect for backgrounds and in this case tearing up, scrunching up and sticking to the ATC backing!!!!

So firstly here is my Day 27 card which fits "The Written Word" theme for the November RAQ at Unruly - I just love using old book pages and text on my creations - makes a great base layer to add on! Feelin Like Doodling.....

Had some fun for my Unruly Paperarts contribution this month with some "doodling" inspiration!!! You can check out my inspiration article today. Here's one of the pages I created using Posca pens - fantastic for scribbling! I've never really thought my doodling was good enough to use on a journal page but I am really happy with how the pages turned out!

To the Moon and Back...

A fairly simple page for the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Progressive Challenge. This is part 2 of the challenge and the moon is the freebie image we got to work with if we entered part 1!

I used a Tim Holtz "Rays" stencil with texture paste and ink sprays on the black page background. I added the little tile letters also sprayed with inks and then mounted the moon image on sprayed muslin. The moon image is coloured with the same spray colours as everything else. I really love the effect.

A fun steampunk themed journal page that I made several months ago for the progressive challenge at the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group. I'm a big fan of Sandra Caldwell - one of the artists at Sweet Pea Stamps so I couldn't resist using this great image on my page and adding some great gears & cogs texture to the background along with gritty texture paste and metallic acrylic paints. The little mechanical flowers and bird are from collage sheets I have had for a very long time (flowers I think were from Dezinaworld and the bird may have been from a Gecko Galz collage sheet).

Loved creating this page and had fun colouring such a cute image!

Our theme for the month of July at the Unruly Paperarts Site is "Die Cuts/Punches" and for my article today I have given instructions on how I created this page using die Cuts from Silhouette Files to add texture to your creations - so pop over and have a looksee and check out the other articles that have been published through the month!!

Exotic....

A journal page made for a Sweet Pea Progressive Challenge at the FB Group a little while ago! The elephant image was the freebie from entering part 1 of the challenge and I couldn't resist teaming it with one of the new rubber stamps I bought from Sweet Pea - Ching Choi Kuik's Golden Promises - a perfect match for the style of my page!

Background done with stencils and acrylic paints. I printed the elephant image multiple times on tissue paper and then added to the page with gel medium. I love the colours and the stamped image on this page.

Entering this little cutie ladybird ATC into the One Sweet Challenge - Sweet Pea Stamps - Die Cuts/Punches Challenge for June. I just love this Ladybird image by Sandra Caldwell (one of my favourite Sweet Pea Artists!) You can find all the great Sweet Pea Digis and Rubber Stamps at their Store.

I cut the Ladybird on my Silhouette with one of the files from the Silhouette Store - just gorgeous and perfect for my themed ATC!

Just love this page I made some time ago with this gorgeous digi by Maigan Lynn available from the Sweet Pea Stamps Store!

Background is texture past and spray inks - love the soft colours. The strip of music and butterflies are from one of Tim Holtz's tissue paper rolls and was perfect to add to this page.

 

Image coloured with Copic Markers and mounted on the page for some depth. I just love this page!
