Gecko Galz: Star Maiden

I always love to creaye with Frida images - I just love the colours and flowers on this page.

And finally my "Sea Goddess" journal spread - just love the image and all the texture I added to the page with stencil by Natalie May Scrapbooking.

Gecko Galz: Wish Upon A Star

Make sure you join the current challenge at the Gecko Galz Blog - Wish Upon A Star theme! I've created an journal page using an image from the "Wish Upon a Star" Collage sheet.

Star stencil is from my local scrapbook store and I've used embossing paste and Wow embossing powder. Background stamp embossed in gold is also from my local scrapbook store (Natalie May Scrapbooking). Love that I can combine my local store products with the Gecko Galz digital/prinatble collage sheets.

Sharing my "Bunny" creations for Gecko Galz!

Firstly a set of tags using images from the "Spring Bunnies" collage sheets available in the Etsy Store!

Background stencils are from my local scrapbook store: Natalie May Scrapbooking. I've also used Lindy's Magicals on each tag background.

I also created a mixed media journal page with an image from the "Jelly Beans Digital Stamp Set".

So many great collage papers to create with at the Gecko Galz Etsy Store - and always lots of fun challenges to join for your chance to win a shopping spree!

Clearly I LOVE "Pink"!!! Just love the gals on the "Pink Ladies" Collage sheet - my favourite sheet for February! Also used words from the "Charming Words" collage set.

I've used a stencil and rubber stamps designed by Natalie May Scrapbooking - my local scarpbook/crafty store here in Adelaide!

Background foliage stencil is from Natalie May Scrapbooking, stamping also using a Natalie May stamp. I used Lindy's Magicals to colour the background.

This page uses an image from "The Red Flower" Collage sheet - some really great images on this sheet to create with! Stencils used on background are by Tim Holtz.

The "JOY" alphabet stamps are from a set available at Blank Page Muse Stamps.

Beauty of the Far East...

It's been awhile since I've posted on my blog however I wanted to join this months challenge at Gecko Galz so I'm sharing my mixed media journal spread using one of the images from the "Asian Doll" collage set available at the Etsy Store.

I've used a Paperartsy stencil designed by Tracy Scott to do the cut out and stenciling. One of Natalie May's floral stencils worked perfectly with this image. I love how this turned out!

Blank Page Muse: Time Flies

Today I am sharing a mixed media journal page using stamps available in store plus collage image and stencil from my stash.

Stamps used:

I had a page in my journal that I had painted with excess paint so I decided to finish it off with a Steampunk theme.

I added texture paste through a stencil and once dried I painted over the texture with Lindy's Magicals.

I stamped the little cogs/gears stamp over the background. I added embellishments, bits of washi and book page along with a fab Steampunk Cutable image from my local scrapbook store click here!

Blank Page Muse: Paper Doll Dream!

Happy New Year! Can you believe it's now 2024? Time flies!

Hope one of your new year's resolutions is to make more creative time for yourself!

Today I'm sharing a journal page using some of the fabulous "clear" stamps available in store - have you seen them? Lots to choose from and a great range of little "planner" stamps for those of you who love to decorate your diaries!

I've used these items for my "arty doll" page today:

I used collage paper from my stash and paint for the background along with patterned stamps from the clear stamp set.

I stamped the "corner" stamp and main doll image onto patterned paper from the Sweet Passion paper pack - just love the pink colours!

I used a "head" from a Tim Holtz paper doll and adhered to the paper doll.

I adhered all the stamped paper to the journal background and stamped the "dream" word onto the page.

Some splatters and a page border to finish off!

Blank Page Muse: Easy Colourful Birthday Cards

Today I have some cards inspired by an online art journal class I did last month through my local store - fab class by Naomi Alchin!

I've used Lindy's magicals to create the shiny coloured strips on the cards - I love the shine on these magicals.

Here are the supplies I used and links to them in store:

You Make Me Happy Hummingbird Clear Stamp Set

Numbers & Flowers Half Sheet Set

Steampunk Circus Stamp Set

Honey Bee Honeycomb Stencil by Miss Rach

These cards are really easy! Cut some strips of watercolour paper and use whatever you have on hand to colour them - I used Lindy's Magicals - you could use watercolours, any ink sprays you have - delve into your stash!

Once dry stencil with black paint - lots of stencils in store you can use for this step! I used the "dots" from the Numbers & Flowers half set to add a few spots of black to the coloured strips.

Stamp your images on watercolour paper and colour with Lindy's Magicals or whatever you used for your strips then fussy cut.

Add some white outlines and paint splatters along with your stamped images and your cards are done!
