Pink Huntress...

April 12th 2014

A reminder for the "Easter or Spring" themed challenge at the Just Some Lines Blog.

I'm using a new image "Fairy Huntress" from the Just Some Lines Store - remember you need to use a JSL image to enter - there's always a freebie at the blog!

Patterned papers are from the Quakasupapers Etsy Store - I just loved the soft pinks & blues of these floral digi papers!

I used this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to arrange all the elements on my card!

A Cup of Tea Under the Sea...

August 9th 2013

Today I am sharing a card made with a great Maigan Lynn image available from QKD. I just love Maigan's designs!

I've used this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches to set out my card - background card has been embossed and I rubbed a white ink pad across to cover the raised areas for a bit of a distressed look. Image has been fussy cut and coloured with Copic Markers.

Best Wishes from Roaring Rhadel!

July 13th 2013
My second post for the day but I have been creating a few things for challenges that are almost finished LOL!!!

I've made this card using one of this week's sketches from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog - this week they have 4 sketches to choose from to celebrate their 4th birthday! I chose to use the fantastic "Roaring Rhadel" image from Angie Delarie Scrapbooking so I could also enter my card in the current Luna Girl "The Great Gatsby" Challenge - she is a perfect flapper gal!! And the digital patterned papers are entitled "The Great Gatsby" and are available at Gecko Galz! Of course I love the feathers!!

A Happy Victorian Lass

June 20th 2013

Here's my entry for the current Anything Goes Just Some Lines Challenge and also my entry for this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I love these digital papers which I got from Shery K Designs Etsy Store. I love the brown tones & vintage style of this card.

Ahoy!!

May 1st 2013

Wow can you believe it's already May???? Time for a new challenge at Wicked Wednesday - "Sun & Surf" - with this weeks sponsor being 2 Cute Ink - as always our generous sponsor is giving you the chance to win some images! It's Autumn here and the weather is getting cooler so I look forward to seeing some "sunny" creations for this challenge!

Now I thought this ATC was so cute that I wanted to make it into a card - great for a little boy! I used the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to layout the card - it's fairly simple but I think the ATC has a bit of detail and is the main focus anyway. I am also entering this card in the current Cards for Men Challenge (cards must be for a man or boy) - their challenge is "Animals" and as this cute little lion is the centre of attention it's just perfect!

No Two Gardens are the Same....

April 7th 2013

You still have a week to join our "Work is Good" Challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad - we would love to see some more entries so get your thinking caps on a get your creation linked up!! For my new card I have used a great "gardening" image from Guylou's Inimitability digis. Most of my work is with "turf" but I do have one contract which is looking after a private school garden so this is me working in the garden!!! The gorgeous papers are new release digital papers "Butterfly Meadow" from Gecko Galz and the card layout uses the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I found the gardening quote at the Quote Garden site - one of my favourite places to visit to find that perfect quote!!

Dance Troupe!

March 25th 2013

A reminder for The Cheerful Stamp Pad's "Let's Dance" Challenge - you still have a week left to get your entry in! I've used the same little ballerina image from our sponsor A Day For Daisies and some more of the patterned papers I purchased from Fringe Art Etsy Store. I also used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to arrange the elements on my card! And I am also entering this in the current Forever Friends "Girls" Challenge!

Fairy Penguin!

March 17th 2013

This is my card for the current challenge at Just Some Lines - the theme is "Fairies" and of course I couldn't resist making my entry a bit quirky so I turned this "Normal" Penguin into a "Fairy" Penguin LOL!!

I used the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (they have a monochromatic green twist to this challenge but I have just gone with an "icy blue" colour combo).

Twilight!

March 11th 2013

Time for the new monthly challenge at the Movie Magic Monthly Challenge Blog - this month's theme is the "Twilight" Saga and make sure you check out the amazing inspiration from the other DT members!! My card uses an image from Wonderstrange - I just love their quirky designs!! I used last week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches but LOL am too late to enter it in their challenge as I am a bit slow getting this posted!!!! We can't wait to see what amazing creations everyone comes up with for this months movie theme!!

Sweet Wishes!

May 31st 2012
I made this little card last night for the Bombshell Stamps Tic Tac Toe Challenge!

I actually incorporated 2 rows from the board into my card - firstly: pearls, pink & glitter and secondly: pink, something new (the Bombshell image) & roses!!

I love this sweet Gingerbread "Pin-Up" which is from a digi sheet by Bombshell Stamps and the "Warm Wishes" is also a Bombshell Sentiment!!! I used the new sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to layout the card.

You know I love to create with PINK!!!

New "Father's Day" Challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio

June 8th 2011

Come and join the new challenge at the Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge Blog. We can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge and even though it's not Father's Day here in Australia until September I've still got in early and made a card that my daughters can give their dad on the day!! Remember you need to use a design from Michelle Perkett Studio to be able to enter the challenge!

I have used the new sketch from the latest challenge at the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge Blog to arrange all the elements on my new card! And the images I have used are "Thomas" and "Scooter" - perfect for Father's Day! Instead of using the traditional wording I've cut out some little letters and "written" - Dad's Best Friend! And of course the images are coloured with Copics.

My Hair is Out of Control!

May 4th 2011

Poor Precocious Priscilla is having a bad hair day LOL and I think her love life may be in tatters too!!!

I couldn't resist using this CS Design image when I saw the new challenge Vicki has at The Cheerful Stamp Pad - "Little Girls with Curls"! I decided to use the new sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge Blog to lay out the card.

I have also incorporated items from the newest Desert Islands Crafters Challenge Blog into this sweet card which are the colour black, words (the little hair quote I found at the Quote Garden Site) and NO flowers!

CS Designs "Best Friends"

February 3rd 2011
Here is another fantastic design by Chris Stern of CS Designs - "Best Friends" - make sure you go and check out her great range of Digital Stamps!! This card is made using the new sketch for this week from "Tuesday Morning Sketches" I think this image was really suited to the layout of the card. And I 've used grey colours which I wouldn't normally use but I think the effect is good.

Here's the sketch I have used:

Celestial Card

January 27th 2011
Here is a card I have made for the new Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge. I actually turned the sketch on the side and worked my design that way. I've used a gorgeous "Celestial" image from Chris Stern's CS Designs digi stamps. As you know I just love her whole range! I've made this a fairly clean lined looking card as opposed to the very "busy" card in my last post!

Meet "Hildie"

January 20th 2011
Here is a gorgeous card I have made using "Hildie" from CS Designs. I love these designs they are great! There are both Cute & Arty designs in the range so there is something for everyone - pop over and have a look!
I've used a sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches to make this card so I can enter it in their current challenge. Tuesday Morning Sketches this week have an anything goes theme as long as you use some form of "metal" on your item. As you can see I've used some little metal butterfly charms and I  have sewn them onto the card.

Card for "Tuesday Morning Sketches"

January 9th 2011
Another card made today for the 'Tuesday Morning Sketches' Blog. I have included a picture of the sketch for the challenge which I think is a great design. I used a digi stamp from By Lori Designs which I used as well on a card I made yesterday but she is so cute and I had printed her off twice so I couldn't resist colouring her in a different coloured dress!
