More Fabric Hangings....

December 27th 2014

I know xmas is over but it's still the festive season so I am sharing the other 2 fabric ornaments I have just finished - yes I'm a bit late but they will still be perfect for next year and I still have them hanging on my little tree ornament until the end of 2014!!

Dog images are from the JessicaLynnOriginal Store the same as my xmas day post - just perfect for dog lovers! Images were stamped/transferred onto calico. I coloured them with chalks and sprayed with sealer to set the chalk and stop it from rubbing off. I sewed around them and "stuffed" them, added some xmas embellishments, some raffia/string "angel wings" and some fishing wire to make a loop to hang them! I had so much fun creating these - I could make dozens of them with Jessica's stamps LOL!!!

I'm entering these in the current A Gem of a Challenge - Anything Christmas Challenge. The Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog has an Anything Goes theme. And a perfect challenge at the We Do Doobadoo Blog - Festive Spirits!

And finally the Chalk N Stock Challenge Blog have the most perfect challenge for these little hangers - their requirements are to use some form of chalks on your creation and as all my ornaments were coloured with "chalks" this is the perfect challenge!

Merry Xmas....

December 25th 2014

A very quick post to say a very merry xmas to everyone - here in Australia it's the end of Xmas Day and I meant to post this earlier in the day but several things held me up and I still also have 2 more of these little dog (different dog images) to finish up - but I will get them done tomorrow and post again. Dog image by JessicaLynnOriginal of course - Jessica does the absolute best sets of dog stamps - all breeds!!!! Hope you like it - will share more details of how I made it when I finish the other 2 off tomorrow! Hope wherever you are you are enjoying the festive season!

If Nothing Ever Changed...

September 30th 2012

This fabric hanging has been made with images from Paper Imagery Designs along with a computer generated quote and has been hand stitched by myself. I love making little fabric hangings and I particularly love the quote:

If nothing ever changed there'd be no butterflies.

This is for the challenge the Inspired By Challenge Blog based on the inspiration picture - I've gone with nature & neutral earthy tones. I'm also entering this at the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow "Things with Wings - Birds, Butterflies and even Bats". There is some great DT inspiration at the blog - gorgeous vintage/shabby chic style creations! I'm also entering my fabric hanging in the current "Brown Tones" Challenge at the It's All About the Vintage Blog. I'm also joining the "Fall into Fall" Challenge at Frilly & Funkie with these earthy tones.
