LOL what a funny image I have to create with this week for Sandra Caldwell - "Uncle Sam Ribbit"!!!
I couldn't resist attempting to make him into the "Uncle Sam" poster with a twist of course!! I coloured him in red/white/blue with pastel pencils and fussy cut. And this mixed media journal page is just perfect for the current NOT a Card Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog - my second entry for this themed challenge!!!
I made a textured red/white/blue page background with a tiny bit of green added because he is a frog LOL!! I used letter tiles for the "I Want You" at the top of the page and computer generated the "to share my lily pad" at the bottom of the page! I added some scrunched up textured ribbon at the bottom as well to "imitate" a lily pad!!!!
Make sure you check out the store for all the new releases - every Monday there are so many amazing images released for you to create with!!
Collage Dog & Cat Index Cards!
May 30th 2016
Sharing 4 collaged index cards made for an Aussie Group Swap with Feline/Canine theme - right up my alley!
I used 6 x 4 index cards as a base and then old book pages and other scraps of paper and ephemera I had sitting around - a good way to use scraps!!!! Everything including collage images were attached to the cards with staples - no glue!!!
All collage images are from collage sheets by Lisa's Altered Art - you can find an amazing array or images to create with at their Etsy Store!!

A cute little ATC to enter the current Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog for this week's theme of "Sea Creatures" and I've used "#157 Betty Mermaid" digi image by Sandra Caldwell!! I've had this image printed out for ages and just hadn't gotten around to colouring her so this was a perfect "excuse" to get her coloured and created with!!
Also entering this at the "Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers" - NOT a Card challenge - and as this is an ATC I think it fits the theme!!

Old Lady Ghoul....
May 27th 2016
Oh dear this creation was done middle of last year and I hadn't shared on my blog - obviously I am still catching up with creations from 2015!!!
This image "Old Lady Ghoul" is by Sandra Caldwell of course and I created this when Sweet Pea Stamps was still open - and of course now you can get Sandra's images from her Etsy Store!!

This is a page in my tony journal which I haven't worked in for awhile - background was done with some metal type paint and patina to age the look of it. "Tombstone" cut from a paint chip sample on the Silhouette. And I coloured the ghoul with copics and fussy cut. Just a quick simple page but I love it!
Chill Out...
May 26th 2016
Sharing a large journal page made for SLS Lines with a great "Goth Girl" image - just love her striped leggings and bunny!
You can find more details of how I made the page background at the SLS Lines Blog! I'm really happy with how the whole page turned out and the colours and "look" of the background which has a graffitied wall feel and she looks "chilled out" LOL!

An inspiration post for Karleigh Sue plus a Warm Up ICAD for the challenge.
Karleigh Sue image was a freebie Cheri shared at her Colouring Queen-dom FB Group so I decided to colour her and use on this index card for one of the "warm up" exercises at the Index Card a Day Challenge. The theme of the warm up was to write a "Haiku Poem" which is a 3 line poem with the 1st line having 5 syllables, the 2nd line having 7 syllables and the 3rd line having 5 syllables - never done one but thought this came out okay. Background is old book pages and paint. Image and wording cut out and I used a charcoal pencil to put the shadow all around - like the effect.

Ever Feel Like You are Going in Circles?
May 25th 2016
Another ICAD creation plus an entry for the current "Splash of Neon or Bright Colour" Challenge at the Lost Coast Designs Blog!
The warm up prompt for ICAD was "irregular circles" so I checked out Cat Hand's Mixed Media Morsels Youtube video "Circles Background" and based my circles on that! I used neon paints I picked up cheaply yesterday on a book page covered index card, added some black circles with an old lid, added some sticky mesh in the corners and under the birds feet, computer generated the wording and foam mounted the quirky bird stamp from Lost Coast Designs. Such a cute bird - click here to see more - they are called "Whimsical Birds by Doris Arndt" - I have another one I can't wait to use as well!

Junior Ghoul.....
May 24th 2016
New release day at Sandra's Etsy Store and I am sharing "Junior Ghoul"!!! He's a cute ghoul! You can also get a "Girly Ghoul" which is a perfect match for this lad!
Background for my journal page is all strips of washi tape from 2 packets of tape I found at Ikea for 50cents each pack - too good a bargain to resist!! The colours are perfect for my ghoul who has been coloured with copics. The cut out bats and "boo" word are Silhouette files and I ink sprayed a piece of muslin to add behind the fussy cut image.
Hope you like him and all the other new releases for this week now in the store!

Take a Word : Pair.....of Fashionistas!!!!!!
May 23rd 2016
Okay I haven't played along at the "Take a Word" Blog for awhile so today was the perfect day to start and do a quick collage index card which is also my first "warm up" card for the upcoming ICAD 2016!! Theme at Take a Word is "Twosome/Pair/Duo"!!
I've made a collage of the insides of envelopes which had lovely "bills" in them LOL - would rather cut up and reuse the bill than the envie but that's how it goes!!!! Added a bit of tissue paper and smooshed some paint around. Wording is computer generated and the amazing collage gals are from sheets by Art Tea Life - one of my fav Etsy Stores - love mixing and matching the body parts and clothing!! This was so much fun to create!!

JessicaLynnOrginal "Custom Stamp" Blog Hop......
21st May 2016
Today the JessicaLynnOriginal DT are showcasing & promoting the great "Custom" stamps that Jessica can make for you!! And if you CLICK HERE you will be taken to the direct link at the JLO Store to see all the details about ordering a custom stamp of your own! The great thing is that you can use your artwork, or your kids artwork or have Jessica design something for you! Great for weddings, gifts, geocaching anything!!
I've been on the JLO Design Team for several years now and am so lucky to have had Jessica draw up a couple of "Aussie" designs for me to create with - LOL not surprisingly I am the only Aussie Gal on the DT so she spoils me with images related to Australia which is great! Today I have been playing around with "one staple collage" creations - except I have used 3 or 4 staples because of all my collage stuff on my index cards LOL!!! But still it looks good and I have not used glue! Idea comes from ICAD (Index Card a Day) which is starting up again for 61 days on 1st June and someone posted a great one staple collaged index card - it looked so great that I decided to give it a try with these JLO images after finding an article at the ICAD Blog!!
Images used on my index cards are "The Walking Dead Emu" LOL - just love this image!!!! And also "Kookaburra" - a very unique laughing bird!!!! You will see I have used old book pages, ephemera, fibres, wording etc. I kept the images simple - printed on Kraft paper and fussy cut - no colouring - just gone for a natural look!
I always love to create with any "Australian" Style images so it's great to have someone who can draw up just what you want!!

Nothing "Fishee" Going On.......
May 20th 2016
A new challenge at the SLS Lines Blog with the theme of "Monochrome" - so lets see your shades of grey or shades of any other single colour - as you can see I've done shades of brown/earthy tones.
This is a page I "revamped" which I wasn't overlay happy with when I first did it last year - it was a bit dull but then it turned into the perfect background for this challenge theme with the addition of a few bits & pieces and of course the amazing SLS Lines "Cat" LOL!!!
You have a month to join this challenge so get out your SLS Lines images and get creating in your fav colour! A reminder that Sal has a new website but you can still nab images from the Etsy Store as well!

Sweet Waitress Dot.....
May 17th 2016
A new release for Sandra Caldwell "#485 Waitress Dot" available now in her Etsy Store along with all the other amazing new releases for this week!!
I've created a journal page using a great cupcake serviette to cover the background in strips along with some sticky mesh and letter stickers! Could not resist colouring her hair pink - she is just so sweet I decided to be daring - I don't usually colour hair in "other" colours!
Digi image coloured in pastel pencils and fussy cut as always!! I really haven't added much to this page as I think the serviette with the cakes has enough yumminess going on!! Make sure you pop into the store and also join our FB Group so you can see what the rest of the DT have created!

Bearly Family Wedding....
May 9th 2016
New release day again at Sandra's Etsy Store - remember our Facebook Group to check out what the rest of the DT have done with their new images for promo plus as always Sandra will have snuck more newbies that even we haven't seen into the shop!!!
Today I am sharing #480 Bearly Family Wedding - I love Sandra's Bears - they were among the very first images of hers I worked with when I was on the Queen Kat DT and now she is still drawing these cuties!!!
I fussy cut the 3 bears - at the end of the post is the coloured image before cutting out for my tag art. They were coloured with copic markers. I made a triple tag for them to be mounted on - background is texture paste, stencil and gelato's in pastel colours plus I added some lace, ribbon, "love" lettering, a silver heart border and some glitter glue on their wings. Pics below show each character close up - so cute!!
And here they are after I coloured them and before I fussy cut the three of them out to use on my triple mixed media tags!
